Tampa, now the two-time defending champion of Division II women's lacrosse, finishes the 2025 season at No. 1 in the USA Lacrosse Top 20.
The Spartans started fast against Adelphi in the NCAA championship game, and even as the Panthers steadied to fight their way back in, Tampa had built enough of a cushion to win. Adelphi, for its runner-up effort, finishes the season No. 2.
Florida Southern checks in at No. 3 by virtue of only having three losses this season — all on the road at national champion Tampa. That is why the Mocs, a quarterfinal team, earn the nod over once-beaten West Chester (No. 4) and semifinalist Slippery Rock (No. 5).
