College lacrosse fans in Texas won’t have wait until 2028 to see Division I action at SMU.
Corrigan Sports Enterprises announced Wednesday that it’s bringing four of the nation’s top men’s lacrosse teams to Dallas as part of its College Lacrosse Live series March 5-7, 2027.
Presented by Fivestar, the event features the last two NCAA Division I champions — Ivy League powerhouses Princeton and Cornell — in a Friday-Sunday split with ACC juggernauts North Carolina and Syracuse.
Princeton plays Syracuse and Cornell takes on North Carolina on Friday, March 5. They’ll swap foes Sunday, March 7, when it’s Cornell vs. Syracuse and Princeton vs. North Carolina.
All four games will be played at SMU’s football stadium, the 33,200-seat Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
The announcement came less than a week after SMU officially revealed its plans to add men’s lacrosse in 2027-28, making it the first Division I program in Texas.
In addition to the college matchups, CSE will put on a high school showcase Saturday at Crum Lacrosse and Sports Field, where SMU’s club teams currently play.
