Four new teams entered the USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ National Top 25 on the strength of state tournament runs, while the top 17 teams remain in place with only a few of them still active.

The four come out of the Northeast Region, with Farmingdale (N.Y.) leading the way at No. 20 after upending Half Hollow Hills (N.Y.). Three Connecticut teams are also new. Darien (Conn.) played their way back into the ranking, as did Ridgefield (Conn.), while New Canaan (Conn.) slides into the final spot and could move up higher if it can win the head-to-head meeting with Darien this week.

Fairfield Prep (Conn.) is one of the first 17 teams still playing. It will try to hold off Ridgefield in another battle with national and regional ramifications. No. 17 La Salle (Pa.) starts its state tournament this week as the favorite.

No. 6 Salesianum (Del.) won its fourth straight state crown as one of the lone active teams. That win concludes a strong year for the Sals, who lost a pair of one-goal games to top-five national teams during an improved schedule that challenged them more.

High school rankings are compiled by USA Lacrosse Magazine writers with input from coaches around the country. Teams with post-graduate players are not eligible, nor are those from outside the United States. These rankings are not affiliated with the official USA Lacrosse High School Awards program overseen by area chairs.
