Four of the five regions added a newcomer to their top 10 in this week's USA Lacrosse High School Boys' Regional Rankings.
Staples (Conn.) becomes the fifth team from Connecticut to join the Northeast Region rankings.
South Carolina state champion Lucy Beckham (S.C.) used its state title run to vault into the South Region rankings.
Worthington Kilbourne’s (Ohio) continued success made it a worthy addition in the Midwest Region.
In the West Region, it’s Monte Vista (Calif.) which has used a late-season run that included a win over a previously ranked team to earn a spot.

NORTHEAST Top 10
While Loomis Chaffee (Conn.) and Salisbury (Conn.) kept the top two spots in the Northeast Region, with Salisbury holding off No. 9 Choate (Conn.), there were some significant changes beyond them.
Staples (Conn.) enters the Top 10 after bouncing back from a narrow defeat to Brunswick (Conn.) with a quality win. Chaminade (N.Y.) ran its winning streak to 11 games by handing Delbarton (N.J.) just its second loss of the year to jump to No. 3.
Just behind in fourth is Brunswick after pulling out a one-goal win ahead of a huge matchup this week against Salisbury (Conn.).
St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) has started to build back momentum and picked up wins over a New Jersey powerhouse and Darien (Conn.).
No. 6 Half Hollow Hills (N.Y.) won a key game over another strong public school, Northport (N.Y.). Belmont Hill (Mass.) put together a fourth-quarter rally to overtake St. Sebastian’s (Mass.), which had won 10 straight contests.

1. Loomis Chaffee (Conn.), 11-1
Rowyn Nurry (Cornell) had four goals and five assists, Anthony Rodriguez (Georgetown) netted a hat trick, CJ Landry (Holy Cross) had two goals, OJ Ika had a goal and an assist, Hayden Cody had a goal and won 11 of 17 faceoffs and Liam O’Keefe (Harvard) made six saves in a 13-6 win over Phillips Andover (Mass.). 2. Salisbury (Conn.), 11-1
Cam Kelly (Notre Dame) battled through injury to score four goals, Parker Reynolds (Princeton) also scored four goals, Dash Lamitie (Johns Hopkins) made some critical second-half saves and Connor Wambach (Duke) was solid at the faceoff X for the Crimson Knights, who rallied from an 8-2 deficit to beat Choate (Conn.), 12-11. 3. Chaminade (N.Y.), 12-1
The Flyers are rolling! It’s now 11 straight wins after defeating Delbarton (NJ) 13-9 at home. James Gillis (Duke) had six goals and one assist, Gavin Lynch (Notre Dame) scored four goals, John Balsamo (Virginia) had three goals and three assists, and Kieran Walsh (Notre Dame) made 16 saves for Chaminade, who host Manhasset (N.Y.) May 10 in the annual Reg’s Rock matchup in memory of Sgt. James J. Regan. Previous: 5
4. Brunswick (Conn.), 11-2
Hunter Hanford scored the game-winner with 2:19 left in the fourth quarter to go along with a pair of assists in a 6-5 victory over Staples (Conn.). Austin Tuttle netted a hat trick, Lucas Garcia (Virginia) had a goal and an assist, and Rick Giordano (North Carolina) added a goal for the Bruins, who have a massive showdown with Salisbury School coming up May 9. 5. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.), 11-4
A one-goal loss to Chaminade is well in the rear-view for the Friars, who made it four straight wins following a 7-5 victory at Don Bosco (NJ). Danny Rooney (Maryland), Gary Merrill (North Carolina), and Jake Johnston (Johns Hopkins) scored two goals each and Dylan Harrigan (Michigan) added one for St. Anthony’s, which also beat Darien (Conn.), 11-6, during the week. 6. Half Hollow Hills (N.Y.), 12-0
In a potential Suffolk County championship preview, Nick Haugen had four goals, Zach Marco (Harvard) added three goals and two assists, Ryan Chung, James Bruno (Dickinson) and Dan Chung scored two goals apiece and Sal Santoro made 16 saves in a 16-14 win over Northport (N.Y.). Anthony Raio (North Carolina) had eight goals and three assists in a 21-8 win over Sachem North (N.Y.). Previous: 7
7. Belmont Hill (Mass.), 11-2
Lindan Verville (Virginia) scored four times, Dylan Casillo (Virginia) had three goals and one assist, Chris Batchelder netted a hat trick, Trey Clayton (UMass) had a pair of goals, Preston Evans (Brown) had one goal and two assists and Will Butler made 12 saves in a thrilling 13-11 come-from-behind win for Belmont Hill, which trailed St. Sebastian’s (Mass.) 11-6 entering the fourth quarter. John Stenberg (Dartmouth) had three goals and one assist, Crosby Thurmond (Holy Cross) scored three times, Tedy Frisoli (Duke) had a pair of goals and Chandler McClements (Penn_ made 12 saves for the Arrows, who were on the wrong side of an instant classic against Belmont Hill, who snapped St. Sebastian’s 10-game winning streak. 9. Choate (Conn.), 8-3
Bryce Privateer had four goals, Mitch Kavey had two goals and two assists, Brad Mallory had a pair of goals, Gavin White added a goal, Will Lawrence and Gus Markley were influential in the middle field in a tough 12-11 loss to Salisbury School (Conn.). The Wreckers rebounded from a heartbreaking one-goal loss to Brunswick to defeat Bishop Guertin (R.I.), 12-7. Charlie Clark had three goals and one assist, Adam Udell (Michigan) had two goals and one assist, Hunter Pallai and Tristan Schaefer (Colgate) scored two goals apiece and Will Fleming, Justin Halky and Nick Weil added a goal each. Mid-Atlantic Top 10
Three of the top six teams suffered losses in the last week.
Former No. 2 Delbarton (N.J.) lost to Chaminade (N.Y.) and former No. 3 McDonogh fell to Loyola Blakefield (Md.) in MIAA play, enabling Calvert Hall (Md.) and Lawrenceville (N.J.) to move up in the rankings.
Then there was a flip at Nos. 6-7 when Haverford School (Pa.) won the rematch at Malvern Prep (Pa.). Haverford’s other two losses are to the two teams directly ahead of it — Delbarton and McDonogh.
No. 8 Boys’ Latin (Md.) remains poised to compete well in the MIAA and ranked eighth in the region. Landon (Md.) secured the IAC regular-season top spot and Seton Hall Prep (N.J.) stopped Iona Prep (N.Y.) to hold the No. 10 spot.

1. Archbishop Spalding (Md.), 16-1
With one game left in the regular season, the Cavaliers sit locked in for a bye for the MIAA playoffs. After a 17-7 win over John Carroll (Md.), Spalding got by St. Paul’s (Md.) 9-7. Ethan Ostrowski had a hat trick and an assist, Jack Newell had four points on two goals and two assists and Gordon Bennett scored a hat trick. Jacob Neumann stopped seven shots. They are 8-1 in the conference. The regular season ends with a game against Mount Saint Joseph (Md.). Previous: 1
2. Calvert Hall (Md.), 12-2
The Cardinals beat Mount Saint Joseph (Md.) 13-9 to keep pace with McDonogh (Md.) and Boys’ Latin (Md.) for second place in the MIAA standings. Calvert still has to play Loyola Blakefield (Md.) which just beat McDonogh in their final MIAA regular season game. Previous: 4
3. Delbarton (N.J.), 10-2
The Green Wave lost for the second time this season, falling 13-9 to Chaminade (N.Y.). Peter Falk and Alex Schobel both scored twice and assisted once and Brandon Fodor had three assists in a 10-3 win over Montclair (N.J.). Delbarton will play in the Morris County Tournament that concludes May 10. Previous: 2
4. Lawrenceville (N.J.), 13-3
The Big Red swept Hun (N.J.) and Hill (Ont.). In a 20-3 win over Hun, Colby Rossettie and Jake Sturtevant each had a hat trick while Lawrenceville got two goals apiece from Sawyer English, Hansen Peck, Nate Sage, Parker Doyle and Malcolm Richardson. Adam Ponting delivered three assists. Lawrenceville followed with an 18-12 win over Hill to end their week with Rossettie putting on a show with nine goals and an assist. They play another Hill (Pa.) and Kiski (Pa.) this week. Previous: 5
5. McDonogh (Md.), 11-5
The Eagles celebrated Senior Day with a 20-6 win over John Carroll (Md.). Ten different players scored goals in the win. That win helped take some of the sting off a 10-9 overtime loss at Loyola Blakefield (Md.) that began the week. Eli Schaller tied the game in the final minute of regulation. The regular season concludes with Gilman (Md.). McDonogh is tied for second with Calvert Hall (Md.) and Boys’ Latin (Md.) but has beaten both of them. Previous: 3
6. Haverford (Pa.), 13-3
The Fords avenged an earlier loss to Malvern (Pa.) 9-7 after earning a 9-5 win over Springside Chestnut Hill (Pa.) earlier in the week. Conor Morsell scored a hat trick and had an assist, Evan Large scored twice, Colin Decker made 13 saves and Griff Meyer won 14 of 20 faceoffs with six ground balls. Haverford trailed 7-6 before scoring the final three goals. Chris Burnetta caused a turnover that he converted into the game-winner. 7. Malvern Prep (Pa.), 13-7
The fourth quarter battle went to Haverford School (Pa.) in a 9-7 loss in their second meeting of the season. Mike Ortlieb’s behind-the-back score had given Malvern a 7-6 lead. Logan Turley had a hat trick and Danny Lucovich scored twice and had an assist. Heath Jones made 14 saves in the loss. Malvern beat Germantown Academy (Pa.) 17-6 to start the week. They will play Penn Charter (Pa.), Springside Chestnut Hill (Pa.) and Salesianum (Del.) to finish the regular season. Previous: 6
8. Boys' Latin (Md.), 11-4
The Lakers swept St. Mary’s (Md.) and Gilman (Md.) in the final full week of MIAA games. Boys’ Latin picked up a 13-4 win over St. Mary’s, then held off Gilman 9-7. The Lakers will finish the regular season hosting St. Paul’s (Md.). Previous: 8
9. Landon (Md.), 16-1
The Bears concluded the regular season with Sean Murray scoring six goals to go with an assist in a 12-3 win over Georgetown Prep (Md.) to finish as the only team unbeaten in the IAC. The top seed will face fourth-seeded St. Alban’s (Va.) in the conference semifinals. The final is May 9. Previous: 9
10. Seton Hall Prep (N.J.), 10-2
The Pirates picked up a 12-9 win over Iona Prep (N.Y.) for their seventh win in a row. Conor Keenan made eight saves, Nolan Sabel scored four goals and had an assist, Owen Dunleavy scored a hat trick with an assist and Clark Rich scored twice and dished out two assists. Seton Hall Prep was to play Columbia (N.J.) in the Essex County Tournament in the quarterfinals. The semifinals are May 7 and the final is May 10 Previous: 10

SOUTH Top 10
Lucy Beckham (S.C.) captured the state championship in South Carolina and enters the South Region rankings at No. 10.
IMG Academy (Fla.) has concluded its season, but six of the other top seven-ranked teams will play in state semifinals next. No. 8 Lambert (Ga.) is just beginning its playoff run. No. 2 Lake Mary (Fla.) and Lambert are trying to continue unbeaten seasons.
The best matchup coming up is No. 5 Episcopal Dallas (Texas) facing No. 9 The Woodlands (Texas) in the final four.

1. Benjamin (Fla.), 22-1
The Buccaneers advanced to the state semifinals after defeating Bishop Moore (Fla.) 16-5 in the regional final. Jayden Vega had five goals and two assists in the win. He previously recorded three goals and six assists in Benjamin’s regional semifinal victory over Lake Highland (Fla.). Benjamin faces the Community School of Naples (Fla.) for a spot in the state title game. Previous: 1
2. Lake Mary (Fla.), 19-0
The Rams are two wins away from defending their state championship after a 7-1 regional final victory over Winter Park (Fla.). That followed a 19-3 rout of Viera (Fla.). Lake Mary will face Ponte Vedra (Fla.) in the state semifinals. Previous: 2
3. IMG Academy (Fla.), 14-2
The Ascenders closed out their regular season with a 14-9 win over Governor’s Academy (Mass.). Their season was highlighted by wins over Westlake (Texas), Deerfield (Mass.), and Springside Chestnut Hill (Pa.). Previous: 3
4. Highland Park (Texas), 17-3
The Fighting Scots advanced to the state Final Four after a 20-7 win over Cypress Woods (Texas) in the super regional. They will face Dallas Jesuit (Texas) this weekend for a spot in the championship game. Previous: 4
5. Episcopal Dallas (Texas), 18-2
The Eagles are two games away from repeating as state champions after a 19-6 win over Southlake (Texas) in the super regional. Episcopal Dallas will face The Woodlands (Texas) in the state semifinal — a rematch of last year’s title game. Previous: 5
6. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 19-3
The Raiders won a regional title in dramatic fashion, edging Jupiter (Fla.) 9-8 in overtime. Diego Salazar scored the game-winner. That victory followed a 17-0 shutout of Martin County (Fla.). James Finch now leads the team with 66 goals. St. Thomas Aquinas faces Plant (Fla.) in the state semifinal. Previous: 5
7. St. Andrew’s (Fla.), 17-6
Shovan Eriksson scored seven goals to lead the Scots to a 22-8 regional final win over St. John Paul II (Fla.). Sixteen different players scored in a 24-7 semifinal victory over Cardinal Newman (Fla.). Nick Testa had two goals and six assists in that game. St. Andrew’s will face Bolles (Fla.) in the state Final Four. Previous: 7
8. Lambert (Ga.), 19-0
The Longhorns moved closer to their first state title in three years, opening the playoffs with a 16-5 win over Marietta (Ga.). Lambert will next face Walton (Ga.). Previous: 9
9. The Woodlands (Texas), 12-4
The Highlanders advanced to the Texas state semifinals with a 12-3 win over Lake Travis (Texas), setting up a rematch with Episcopal Dallas (Texas), who beat them in overtime in last year’s championship. Previous: 10

The Bengals claimed a state championship after a 14-5 win over Nation Ford (S.C.), with Bear Hankins contributing three goals and two assists. That followed an 11-1 win over Chapin (S.C.), where Hankins scored six goals and added an assist. Previous: NR

Worthington Kilbourne (Ohio) debuts in the Midwest Region at No. 10 with a seven-game winning streak.
Upper Arlington (Ohio) reaffirmed its No. 5 ranking with a narrow win over No. 7 Brother Rice (Mich.). Rockhurst Jesuit (Mo.) has been winning steadily to move to No. 8. Lake Forest (Ill.) has lost just once in 15 games and shifts up one spot to No. 9.
In the top half, congratulations go to No. 2 Culver Academy (Ind.) after the Eagles beat No. 3 Western Reserve (Ohio) for another Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Association Tournament title. Western Reserve will get a shot at No. 1 St. Xavier (Ohio), which has lost only once all season. Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.) has run its unbeaten start to 15-0.

1. St. Xavier (Ohio), 12-1
The Bombers dominated their lone game of the week, a 19-0 shutout at Elder, including eight goals from Luke Sprong and five goals and three assists from Nick Rongo. A busier week awaits as St. Xavier hosts one of Ohio’s top ten teams, Dublin Jerome, followed by a trip to another top Midwest foe: Western Reserve Academy (Ohio). Previous: 1
2. Culver Academy (Ind.), 12-2
The Eagles repeated as Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Association Tournament champions with a 12-1 win over Everest Academy (Ont.) and a 9-7 victory over host WRA (Ohio). Bodhi Harmon delivered 15 saves in the latter while Sean Grogan and Riley Woods both tallied hat tricks for Culver, which will next compete in the National Prep Lacrosse Championship. Previous: 2
3. Western Reserve (Ohio), 13-5
The Pioneers picked up wins over Hill School (Pa.) and St. Ignatius (Ohio), the latter coming in the MSLA Tournament semifinals, before giving Culver a heck of a battle in the title match. Luke Jaeger and Caden Smith were unsung heroes for WRA, which has another big showdown coming against St. Xavier (Ohio) on May 9. Previous: 3
4. Olentangy Liberty (Ohio), 13-2
The Patriots clinched a share of the Ohio Capital Conference Central Division title with a 10-7 win over Hilliard Davidson (Ohio) Tuesday, topping Olentangy Berlin (Ohio) by 13 a couple of days later. Jake Struck continues to cement his place among Liberty’s greats, setting the program’s career points mark (he currently has 258). Previous: 4
5. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 9-6
After taking on one of the region’s toughest schedules early, the Golden Bears enjoyed a 3-0 week, holding Dublin Coffman (Ohio), St. Charles Prep (Ohio) and Brother Rice (Mich.) to single digits. UAlbany commit Wally Swiney totaled 15 goals and seven assists on the week, including six goals and three assists against the Warriors. Previous: 5
6. Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.), 15-0
The Shamrocks did more than just stare at The Bean on their trip to Chicago, topping Loyola Academy (Ill.) 10-8 and St. Viator (Ill.) 10-5. Connor Lukas had half of DCC’s goals in the latter while Ryan Dye and Lachlan Moffat tallied hat tricks in the former. Previous: 6
7. Brother Rice (Mich.), 12-4
The Warriors dominated their first two games of the week, topping in-state foes De La Salle (Mich.) and Cranbrook (Mich.) by a combined margin of 45-5, before dropping a close one to Upper Arlington (Ohio). Previous: 7
8. Rockhurst Jesuit (Mo.), 12-1
The Hawklets’ 2-0 week included doubling up on Shawnee Mission East (Kan.), 8-4, to clinch the one seed in the playoffs. Among the highlights, Johnny Eckles had a hat trick, Draden Torline made 13 saves, JP Stegall won 10 of 16 faceoffs and coach Timothy Reidy picked up his 200th career win. Previous: 9
9. Lake Forest (Ill.), 14-1
The Scouts enjoyed another big week, beating Stevenson (Ill.) 20-2 on Wednesday before edging one of their top Land of Lincoln foes, Wheaton Academy, by three on Saturday. Previous: 10
10. Worthington Kilbourne (Ohio), 13-2
It’s time to take note of the Wolves, who have won seven straight entering a big week that includes a May 8 showdown with Olentangy Liberty (Ohio). Beyond its win streak, Kilbourne doesn’t have a blemish on its resume with its lone losses coming against top competition like Upper Arlington and West Genesee (N.Y.). Previous: NR

West Top 10
Monte Vista (Calif.) used a big win to make its debut in the West Region rankings, defeating De La Salle (Calif.) en route to the No. 9 spot.
No. 2 Cherry Creek (Colo.) comes off a top-10 win to keep its perfect season going and move up one spot based on its resume and record. Arapahoe (Colo.) moves up one spot to No. 8 after adding a good win to its record.
The remainder of the rankings are the same as last week. Several teams enjoy the luxury of a bye in first-round action before they return to action.
Our West rankings cover the Mountain, Pacific and Northwest regions and at least part of the Southwest.
1. Loyola-Los Angeles (Calif.), 18-3
Loyola-Los Angeles will face Corona del Mar (Calif.) in the CIF-SS Division I Playoffs quarterfinals on May 6. The Cubs previously defeated the Sea Kings, 16-4, in the regular season. Previous: 1
2. Cherry Creek (Colo.), 15-0
Cherry Creek capped an undefeated regular season with a 10-6 victory over No. 7 Colorado Academy (Colo.) and an 11-3 rout of Regis Jesuit (Colo.). Senior goalkeeper Owen Corsi (High Point) combined for 20 saves between the posts and junior Henry Goldberg totaled 17 faceoff wins. The Bruins earned the No. 1 seed in the CHSAA Class 5A and received a bye to the second round; they will take on the winner of Northfield (Colo.) and Denver South (Colo.) on May 10. Previous: 3
3. St. Ignatius (Calif.), 17-3
The Wildcats shut out Archbishop Mitty (Calif.), 22-0, before edging Junipero Serra (Calif.), 13-11 to close out their regular season. Next up is the WCAL Tournament May 8-10. Previous: 3
4. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 13-5
To wrap up the regular season, the Falcons downed Poway (Calif.), 19-4, and Santa Fe Christian (Calif.), 15-8. Torrey Pines earned a bye and the No. 1 overall seed in the CIF San Diego Section playoffs; they will take on the winner of Santa Fe Christian and Coronado (Calif.). Previous: 4
5. Valor Christian (Colo.), 13-2
Valor Christian defeated Mountain Vista (Colo.), 13-11, behind five goals from sophomore JT Cross. The Eagles are the No. 3 seed in the 5A CHSAA State Tournament, receiving a bye to the second round. They will face the winner of Lewis-Palmer (Colo.) and Rock Canyon (Colo.) on May 10. Previous: 5
6. Marin Catholic (Calif.), 16-5
Marin Catholic defended its title and was crowned the MCAL champions after dominating Novato (Calif.), 21-4, then taking down rival Redwood (Calif.) in a 9-3 victory. The Wildcats are hunting for a back-to-back North Coast Section Division I championship and will rematch with Novato on May 6 in round one. Previous: 6
7. Colorado Academy (Colo.), 12-3
The Mustangs split their last week of the regular season, falling 10-6 to No. 2 Cherry Creek (Colo.) before defeating Fairview (Colo.), 15-4, in the finale. Junior goalkeeper Mack Emrich combined for 23 saves. Colorado Academy heads into the 5A CHSAA playoffs with a bye and the No. 4 seed; they take on the winner of Chatfield (Colo.) vs. Grandview (Colo.) on May 10. Previous: 8
8. Arapahoe (Colo.), 13-2
Arapahoe earned the No. 2 seed in the 5A CHSAA State Tournament after defeating Denver East (Colo.), 9-5, and Mountain Vista (Colo.), 6-3. The Warriors face the winner of Lakewood (Colo.) and Castle View (Colo.) on May 10. Previous: 9

EBAL Mountain Division champions Monte Vista is riding a seven-game winning streak heading into the NCS CIF playoffs as the No. 1 seed. 10. La Costa Canyon (Calif.) 11-6
La Costa Canyon earned a bye and the No. 2 seed in the CIF San Diego Section playoffs after defeating Carlsbad (Calif.) and Bishop's School (Calif.) to wrap the regular season. The Mustangs will face the winner of Bishop's School and Cathedral Catholic (Calif.) on May 14 in the semifinals. Previous: 10
