The top five stays the same and there’s just one newcomer in the USA Lacrosse High School Boys’ National Top 25 this week.

Lawrenceville (N.J.), St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) and Culver (Ind.) set the pace atop the rankings, but Haverford (Pa.) picked up a significant win over McDonogh (Md.) to jump up to No. 6. No. 7 Chaminade (N.Y.) will see how it stacks up against McDonogh this week.

La Salle (Pa.) makes its debut in the Top 25 at No. 16. The Explorers have a legion of Division I commits but only a few games that will be truly challenging during their league schedule. They made the most of two early matchups to display their strength.

Much of the rest of the field has only moved a spot here or there to adjust for La Salle’s inclusion. Strength of schedule is important. Just look at Loyola Blakefield (Md.), which is sub-.500 after facing a gauntlet of four top-20 teams early but still ranked.

When the Northeast Region ramps up, there will be a lot more clarity in the rankings. Right now, there is still a lot of projecting.
