The USA Lacrosse High School Girls’ National Top 25 has four new teams and movement galore thanks to a multitude of high-quality matchups. The top four teams remain the same with St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) pacing the group.

Good Counsel (Md.) made the most of its opportunity at the Spring Fling hosted by St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.). By knocking off previously unbeaten St. Anne’s-Belfield (Va.) impressively and getting by Stone Ridge (Md.), the Falcons vaulted four spots into a top 10 that is heavy with strong Mid-Atlantic teams. STAB had handed Archbishop Spalding (Md.) its first loss of the year.

Another top-10 matchup went to Darien (Conn.), which won its season opener over a well-developing St. Paul’s (Md.) team. Darien will take on McDonogh (Md.) late this week in another outstanding top-five meeting.

Cold Spring Harbor (N.Y.) and Sacred Heart (Conn.) moved into the Top 25 after big wins in their first two weeks. Another pair of New York teams — John Jay-Cross River and Nyack — ride unbeaten starts into the Top 25.

New Jersey teams got underway, and the Garden State’s top team, Summit (N.J.), fell to No. 2 Episcopal (Pa.). Minnesota is one of the final states just kicking off this week while at the same time Florida begins playoffs meaning plenty of big stakes contests.
