The USA Lacrosse Players of the Week recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.

The Mid-Atlantic, South and West are the only regions to be honored this week with most in the other regions not yet playing.

Abby Musser, St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.)

Musser made a triumphant return to the Saints lineup. After missing last year with a torn ACL, Musser had two goals, three assists and five draw controls in a 10-9 triple-overtime win at Episcopal of Jacksonville (Fla.) in the season opener.

The senior midfielder will continue her career at Virginia next year.

Also notable: Chloe Cassidy, Stone Ridge (Va.); Maura Irish, Episcopal (Pa.); Martha Oakey, St. Anne’s-Belfield (Va.)

Clark Hamilton, Blessed Trinity (Ga.)

It has been a heck of a start to the season for Clark Hamilton. She has hat tricks in eight of Blessed Trinity’s first nine games and continued her amazing play with a six-goal effort against Centennial (Ga.) and four goals against Creekview (Ga.).

The senior attacker is committed to Florida.

Also notable: Ashley Egbert, American Heritage-Delray (Fla.); Maddie Miller, Plant (Fla.); Morgan Ortega, Westlake (Texas)

Sydney Stewart, Torrey Pines (Calif.)

Stewart, a USC commit, played a pivotal role in the Falcons’ 13-12 win over Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.) on March 8. The junior dominated the midfield, securing six draw controls with three goals and four assists, which were essential in overcoming an aggressive Knights defense.

Against Carlsbad (Calif.) on March 5, Stewart continued to shine, securing four draw controls, three ground balls, two goals and one caused turnover, helping maintain Torrey Pines’ undefeated record.

Also notable: Audrey Crafts, Santa Margarita (Calif.); Maggie Goldstein, Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.); Leslie Iorio, San Ramon Valley (Calif.), Riley Padian, Palos Verdes (Calif.); Annika Tanner, Oak Ridge (Calif.)
