West Islip (N.Y.) picked up a couple of big wins to vault into the Northeast mix, while the West has a pair of teams debuting in the latest USA Lacrosse High School Girls' Regional Top 10 rankings.
San Ramon Valley (Calif.) made shock waves with its win over previous West No. 1 St. Ignatius (Calif.), while Eastside Catholic (Wash.) has lost only once and earned the final spot in that region’s rankings.
The West is also the lone region with a new No. 1. It’s Coronado (Calif.), which is unbeaten and has put together an impressive resume.

NORTHEAST Top 10
The Gains for Brains Showcase allowed the top teams in the Northeast Region to prove their mettle. No. 1 St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) demonstrated its firepower with a huge comeback from a slow start to remain perfect and stay atop the region.
No. 2 Darien (Conn.) pulled away from No. 8 Sayville (N.Y.), and No. 6 West Islip (N.Y.) affirmed its ranking with a solid win over Morristown (N.J.). Earlier in the week, the Lions edged No. 7 Smithtown West (N.Y.) in overtime.
Garden City (N.Y.) squeaked by New Canaan (Conn.) in another great Gains for Brains matchup.
There’s plenty on the line as the schedule gets no easier for anyone, highlighted by a matchup this week between Sayville and Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.).

Anna Christie (Northwestern) netted a hat trick, Molly Hiney (Johns Hopkins) had two goals and two assists and Emma Speed (Florida) and Kat Rathjen (Florida State) each had two goals and an assist as the Friars rallied from a 5-0 first-quarter deficit to score three goals in 21 seconds to spark a 10-0 run en route to a 13-7 win over Chatham (N.J.) as part of the Gains for Brains Showcase at Cold Spring Harbor (N.Y.). Annabell Adams (Virginia) had five goals and two assists, Hope Hapgood (Dartmouth) scored twice, Anna von Kennel (Columbia) had one goal and three assists and Katie Walsh (Colgate) added one goal and two assists to lead the Blue Wave to an 11-7 win over Sayville (N.Y.) as part of the Gains for Brains Showcase. The Hurricanes rebounded from back-to-back defeats to Bayport-Blue Point and Sayville to defeat Miller Place (N.Y.), 11-7. Reece King scored four goals, Maiya Boughal (Dartmouth) and Ava Derby (Maryland) had two goals each, Brie Provenzano (Quinnipiac) had one goal and two assists and Lily Graves (Binghamton) added three assists in the win. Mid-Atlantic Top 10
There was far less mayhem in the Mid-Atlantic rankings this week.
Chatham (N.J.) finally lost, but it came in a game in which it jumped to an early 5-0 lead against national No. 1 St. Anthony’s (N.Y.).
Two unbeaten teams remain in the region. No. 1 Episcopal (Pa.) has been dominant, outscoring opponents 203-63 this season. The other perfect team is Manchester Valley (Md.). Only one opponent has played the Mavericks within 10 goals this spring.
Some of the most exciting lacrosse is just ahead. It’s the final week of the regular season for the IAAM, which only has the first seed decided for their playoffs. McDonogh (Md.) has that distinction.
Beyond the Eagles, it’s parity. St. Paul’s (Md.), Maryvale (Md.) and St. Paul’s all have three losses while behind them Severn (Md.), John Carroll (Md.), St. Mary’s (Md.), Notre Dame (Md.) and Roland Park (Md.) all have five losses.

1. Episcopal (Pa.), 14-0
It was another dominant week for the unbeaten Churchwomen. Maura Irish had four goals, Kate Dente scored two goals and had two assists and Nora Bailer had nine draws in a 14-1 win over Penn Charter (Pa.). Episcopal jumped out to a 10-2 halftime lead and took a 13-7 win over IMG Academy (Fla.) as Quinn Whitaker scored five goals and had two assists, Bailer won 11 draw controls, and Avery Le, Kate Dente and Sofia Gagliardi all had three points apiece. Payton Magday scored four times, Parker Kitchel scored a hat trick and added two assists and Reed Pinkin had a hat trick and an assist in a 16-6 win over John Carroll (Md.). Reagan O’Donovan made eight saves in a 7-4 win over St. Mary’s (Md.). The Eagles have already clinched the top seed for the IAAM A Division playoffs, and they’ll try to finish the conference regular-season schedule when they face Archbishop Spalding (Md.) in their only game this week. The Gators held Garrison Forest (Md.) in check in a 15-1 win to start their week, then held off Bryn Mawr (Md.) for an 8-6 win. St. Paul’s finishes the regular season at Maryvale (Md.) in a battle of teams that are tied for second place with three IAAM losses apiece. Previous: 3
4. Manchester Valley (Md.), 11-0
Emma Penczek had a hat trick and an assist to pass Lizzie Colson’s school record for career points in the Mavericks’ 14-2 win over Mount Hebron (Md.). Molly Pulliam made eight saves and has been reliable with her 80 percent save percentage. Addison Meyer scored four times and had an assist in the win. Penczek had 11 points, Carolyn Lowe scored four goals and had four assists, Taylor Fique had four goals and three assists and Meyer had another hat trick in a 24-3 win over Lingamore (Md.). Penczek had nine points on seven goals and two assists, Meyer deposited four goals, Carolyn Lowe had a goal and four assists and Fique scored twice and had three assists in an 18-2 win over Westminster (Md.) Haley Bittinger scored two goals and had an assist. She and Fique both have over 150 career points. After a scheduled game against Francis Scott Key (Md.), they’ll face Oakdale (Md.) and Hereford (Md.) to finish the regular season. Previous: 4
5. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.), 17-1
The Saints have won 11 straight games. They swept Holton Arms (Md.) 13-7, Episcopal (Va.) 16-2 and Mount de Sales (Md.) 16-10 last week. SSSA plays at Georgetown Visitation (D.C.), hosts Maret (D.C.) and finishes the week at Bishop Ireton (Va.). Previous: 5
6. Agnes Irwin (Pa.), 11-2
Mairyn Dwyer scored four goals and had four draw controls, Caroline Chisholm had a hat trick and five draws and Catie Holmes scored a hat trick while Rowan Lawrence scored twice and assisted a pair of goals in a 13-10 win over IMG Academy (Fla.). Holmes had another hat trick, including her 100th career goal, and fie draws in a 17-12 win over Villa Maria (Pa.). Dwyer scored four goals and had three draws, Lawrence scored twice and provided six helpers and two ground balls and Rowan Pauzano made five saves. The Lions returned to winning with a perfect week. They defeated Glenelg Country (Md.) 16-7 then tripled up on Roland Park (Md.) 18-6 last week. They host St. Paul’s (Md.) in a key matchup for IAAM seeding. Previous: 7
8. Good Counsel (Md.), 13-3
The Falcons return from a bye week to face three games this week to finish the regular season. Good Counsel will host St. John’s College (D.C.) and Glenelg High (Md.) and play at St. Mary’s Ryken (Md.). Previous: 8
9. Chatham (N.J.), 9-1
After nine straight wins to open the season, the Cougars finally dropped a game, 13-7, to unbeaten St. Anthony’s (N.Y.). Chatham jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter before St. Anthony’s rallied in a 7-0 second quarter and Chatham never got the lead again. Grace Hallahn had two goals and an assist and Annie Irish scored two goals while Annie Alden made 11 saves. Ashlyn Carpenter scored five goals, Peyton Furst scored twice and had three assists, Leah Tapper had a pair of goals and an assist and Grace Hallahan scored a hat trick in a 17-7 win over Montclair (N.J.) to start the week. 10. Severna Park (Md.), 11-1
The Falcons got a pair of goals from Bella Van Gieson, including the game-winner off a feed from Maria Bragg, for a 5-4 win over South River (Md.) in double overtime. Avery Saviano caused three turnovers and had a pair of ground balls and Erin Hussey scored twice, had three caused turnovers and four draw controls. Bragg had six draw controls. Lizzy Thompson had a goal and five assists, Brynn Williams had a goal and six ground balls and Bella Mazzola had three ground balls, two caused turnovers and four draws in a 23-1 win over Severn Run (Md.). South Top 10
The South Region remained unchanged after last week.
Florida teams are in full playoff mode and there are still three unbeaten teams in the region. Plant (Fla.) picked up its 20th win of the season against zero losses. Anderson (Texas) also is perfect through 12 games. And Providence Day (N.C.) continued its dominance through 15 games. They’ve outscored opponents 220-85, and only three teams have managed double-digit goals against them.
Ponte Vedra (Fla.) faces the toughest challenge of the ranked teams in the playoffs with Bartram Trail (Fla.) next.
The postseason is around the corner for Georgia teams like Cambridge (Ga.) and Milton (Ga.) and Texas squads like Hockaday (Texas) and Anderson, and they have plenty of momentum coming out of great regular seasons.

1. American Heritage-Delray (Fla.), 15-2
The Stallions returned from a 10-day break with a 19-2 win over Westminster Christian (Fla.). Emma Switter continues to play an important role on faceoffs and offense. Previous: 1

The Bears stretched their winning streak to nine after defeating Johns Creek (Ga.) 12-9 to finish the regular season. Jenna Reagan Lundstedt had a hat trick in the win. Previous: 2

The Eagles closed out the regular season with three wins in four nights, all by double figures. Milton toppled Woodstock (Ga.), Walton (Ga.), and Sequoyah (Ga.). Previous: 3

The Daisies’ regular season ended with a 17-7 win over Rockwall (Texas). Hockaday now awaits its first postseason opponent. Previous: 4
5. IMG Academy (Fla.), 10-4
The Ascenders’ season concluded with a 12-11 win over Cherry Hill West (N.J.). Charlotte Vandenberg was IMG’s leading scorer with 33 goals and 14 assists. Avery Adkin had a team-leading 19 caused turnovers. Previous: 5
6. Anderson (Texas), 12-0
The Trojans closed out their regular season on April 16 by defeating Westlake (Texas). Anderson awaits its postseason assignment. Jillian Murphy had a team-leading 51 goals and 26 assists during the regular season. Previous: 6

McKenzey Craig continues her amazing season, scoring three goals and seven assists in a 20-2 drubbing of Lakewood Ranch (Fla.). She now has 66 goals and 57 assists for the season. Ashlyn Bell picked up four goals, while Claudia Celedon scored a hat trick in the win. Previous: 7
8. Providence Day (N.C.), 15-0
The Chargers played both Cannon (N.C.) and Charlotte Country Day (N.C.) for the second time this month, yielding winning results. After defeating CCDS 16-10 earlier this month, Providence Day picked up an 18-10 win over the Buccaneers. After previously defeating Cannon by three, the Chargers earned a dominating 18-2 win over the Cougars. Previous: 8
9. Ponte Vedra (Fla.), 13-3
The Sharks now have an 11-game winning streak after defeating Lake Brantley (Fla.) 21-4. Ponte Vedra faces a tough playoff challenge against the defending state champions, Bartram Trail (Fla.). Previous: 9

The Highlanders’ goaltending duo of Bre Sampson and Sinthya Quiroz combined for eight saves in a 21-1 win over Holy Trinity Episcopal (Fla.). Gwen Nassal had a team-leading four goals. Previous: 10

Midwest Top 10
The rankings remained intact also in the Midwest, led by Loyola Academy (Ill.) and New Trier (Ill.).
Both face challenges this week to retain their spots. Loyola will play Detroit Country Day (Mich.) and No. 7 Upper Arlington (Ohio). New Trier takes on No. 4 Hinsdale Central (Ill.) and also plays Upper Arlington.
Lakeville South (Minn.) and Hudson (Ohio) remain unbeaten.

1. Loyola Academy (Ill.), 12-2
The Ramblers had another brilliant week, racing out to a 12-2 lead over Lake Forest in a rematch of last year’s state title game (and ultimately winning 13-7), then topping previously undefeated East Grand Rapids (Mich.) 16-5. Chloe Mangel combined for 27 draw controls in the two wins while fellow sophomore Molly Dwyer had five goals in both games. Loyola Academy has another big weekend ahead as it hosts undefeated Detroit Country Day (Mich.) and Buckeye State power Upper Arlington. Previous: 1
2. New Trier (Ill.), 8-3
The Trevians rolled to a pair of in-state wins, topping Vernon Hills and Benet Academy by a combined score of 34-3. Senior Holly Smith tallied eight draw controls in the latter, junior Avery Anderson added three goals and seven draw controls and junior Riley Nolan also tallied a hat trick for New Trier, which has a big Chicagoland showdown with Hinsdale Central on April 30. 3. Olentangy Liberty (Ohio), 12-1
The Patriots continue to have one of the Midwest’s top attacks, accumulating 39 goals over two games this week. Junior Aubrey Bartosik helped facilitate their offense, including 11 assists in their victory over Hilliard Bradley (Ohio), while senior Corinna Hilmas added four goals and an assist. Liberty has a big in-state showdown coming May 1 against New Albany. Previous: 3
4. Hinsdale Central (Ill.), 12-2
The Red Devils’ balance showed in their 10-6 win over Lyons (Ill.) to start the week as five different players scored two goals and senior Peyton Moncrief impressed with 13 draw controls and 12 groundballs. Hinsdale Central was no less impressive April 26 as it topped one of Michigan’s top teams, East Grand Rapids, by double digits. Previous: 4
5. Carmel (Ind.), 10-3
Senior Avery Goehl set the tone. After a tough loss to Ohio state champion Olentangy Liberty last weekend, Goehl tallied six goals, three draw controls and two caused turnovers in the Greyhounds’ 13-3 bounce-back win over Brebeuf Jesuit Prep (Ind.). Sophie Mock had four goals against the Braves, then added four goals a few days later at Noblesville (Ind.) as Carmel has plenty of momentum once again heading into their May 1 rivalry clash with Cathedral (Ind.). 6. Guerin Catholic (Ind.), 12-1
The Golden Eagles have now won three straight since spring break, including edging Hamilton Southeastern (Ind.) by two on Thursday. Solid Brebeuf Jesuit Prep (Ind.) looms Thursday with two more solid in-state foes, Cathedral and Culver Academy, waiting in the wings. Previous: 6
7. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 10-2
The Golden Bears won both of their games this week, against Olentangy Orange (Ohio) and Kentucky Country Day (Ky.), by 12-plus goals. Ella Smith had two goals and three assists while fellow junior Berkeley Thomas added two goals and two assists and a third junior, Evie Ruma, had a hat trick against the Pioneers. Upper Arlington next heads to Chicagoland to take on two of the Land of Lincoln’s best: Loyola Academy and New Trier. Previous: 7
8. St. Francis DeSales (Ohio), 11-1
The Stallions won handily on April 22, topping Big Walnut (Ohio) 22-4, before facing a steeper challenge Saturday as they edged Columbus Academy (Ohio) by a goal. Another big challenge awaits May 3 as they square off with a fellow top Division II team in Ohio, Mariemont, with the Warriors entering the week with a single loss. Previous: 10
9. Lakeville South (Minn.), 3-0
The 2024 state champion Cougars won their 22nd and 23rd straight game this week, but it wasn’t easy as they edged in-state foes Rosemount and Chanhassen by two and six goals, respectively. Ella Mills had five goals in both games while Charlotte Fannin tallied six goals and 12 assists across the two wins. Previous: 9
10. Hudson (Ohio), 10-0
The undefeated Explorers continued to impress, particularly defensively, as they held Copley to one goal and Hoover to six en route to two key in-state wins. Hudson has allowed just 31 goals over its first 10 games, essentially limiting its opponents to three per night. Previous: 10

West Top 10
The Wild West is at it again.
San Ramon Valley (Calif.) pulled off an overtime win over previous No. 1 St. Ignatius (Calif.), whose only previous losses had come on an East Coast trip. Previously unranked after losses to Marin Catholic (Calif.), Oak Ridge (Calif.) and Coronado (Calif.), the Wolves jump back into the Top 10 at No. 2.
The new No. 1 is Coronado, which remains unbeaten while playing a schedule ranked second only to Torrey Pines (Calif.) for difficulty. The Islanders notably are still the only team to defeat St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.), ranked eighth nationally.
Also entering the West rankings at No. 10 is Eastside Catholic (Wash.) after a big win over Seattle Prep (Wash.).
Many of the region’s teams wrap up their regular seasons with the most enticing matchup being another showdown between No. 3 St. Ignatius (Calif.) and No. 4 Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.). St. Ignatius won the first meeting this year by a goal.

Coronado protected its undefeated streak with a 16-8 win at La Jolla (Calif.) and a 13-10 victory over Wellesley (Mass.). The Islanders close out the regular season with a pair of conference games vs. No. 9 Cathedral Catholic (Calif.) and University City (Calif.). Previous: 4
2. San Ramon Valley (Calif.), 14-3
San Ramon Valley makes a huge impact after knocking off the previously-ranked No. 1 St. Ignatius (Calif.) in a 17-16 overtime upset. The Wolves also defeated conference opponents California (Calif.) and Carondelet (Calif.) to cap a perfect week. They lead the East Bay - Mountain league heading into Monte Vista (Calif.) to close out the regular season. 3. St. Ignatius (Calif.), 13-4
The Wildcats fell 17-16 in an overtime heartbreaker to San Ramon Valley (Calif.). Prior to, St. Ignatius downed Menlo-Atherton (Calif.) 23-7 in a Senior Day victory. They will wrap the regular season against Saint Francis (Calif.) and No. 4 Sacred Heart (Calif.). Previous: 1
4. Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.), 14-1
Sacred Heart defeated Menlo School (Calif.) 16-3 to extend its five-game winning streak and rounds out its season with a series of league matchups against Saint Francis (Calif.), Menlo-Atherton (Calif.) and No. 3 St. Ignatius (Calif.) next. The final game is a chance to avenge their lone loss of the season. Previous: 2
5. Valor Christian (Colo.), 10-1
Valor Christian is on a 7-0 run after defeating Ralston Valley (Colo.) and Columbine (Colo.). Sophomore Gia Bigelow powered the Eagles behind a combined six goals and 10 draw controls. Up next is a trio of games left in the regular season: Colorado Academy (Colo.), Chatfield (Colo.) and Denver East (Colo.). The Eagles and Mustangs are the final two undefeated teams in 5A West play. 6. ThunderRidge (Colo.), 10-1
The Grizzlies added two more wins last week, an 18-15 rout of Heritage (Colo.) before shutting out Rock Canyon (Colo.), 14-0. ThunderRidge is second in the 5A South league behind Regis Jesuit (Colo.), who they take on next. They will also face Evergreen (Colo.) and Mullen (Colo.). Previous: 5
7. Mira Costa (Calif.), 16-0
Mira Costa capped a perfect season with a 13-10 victory over Palos Verdes (Calif.) and is the No. 1 in the Bay League and in the Southern Section Division I/II. Playoffs are up next. Previous: 6
8. Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.), 17-2
Foothill edged Torrey Pines (Calif.) 14-13 before downing Esperanza (Calif.) 19-1. Seven Knights recorded a multi-goal game against the Aztecs and senior Brynn Perkins led the charge against Torrey Pines with four goals and three assists for seven points, and added two draw controls.
