Dialed In: Your Lacrosse Fix for Thursday, December 7

December 7, 2023
Kenny DeJohn

Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The biggest lacrosse buzz of the day came from the White House.

Speaking at the third-annual White House Tribal Nations Summit, United States President Joe Biden announced his position of support for the Haudenosaunee Confederacy’s bid to compete as its own nation at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

2. Best of Lacrosse 2023’s next category is all about content.

Our third award is for the content creator who shined brightest in the lacrosse space in 2023. Who gets your vote? The poll below closes at 11 a.m. Eastern on Thursday, Dec. 7.

WHAT WE’RE READING

  • You’ve heard of Mira Shane, but have you heard of her alter ego, The Miracle? Shane is the latest subject of our “Hero Ball” series.

  • SB Nation’s “One Foot Down” writes about Tyler Buchner’s return to Notre Dame as a lacrosse player. The former Alabama quarterback entered the transfer portal earlier this week.

  • ILWomen continued its Top 50 players rollout with Nos. 30-21.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

Is anyone actually surprised that Brennan O’Neill can throw down?
