Gait Lacrosse has launched two cutting-edge faceoff heads — the Gait Faceoff Stiff and Gait Faceoff Flex — marking a major leap forward in faceoff performance technology.
Developed in collaboration with pro lacrosse standout TD Ierlan, the new heads are designed to give players an edge at the X, no matter their style.
The Faceoff Flex was created for quick-handed FOGOs who thrive on speed and finesse. With an ultra-flexible profile and a highly responsive face, the head allows players to pinch and pop with ease and control the ball instantly off the whistle.
Meanwhile, the Faceoff Stiff offers a more rigid construction for players who rely on power and physicality. The added stiffness gives faceoff athletes an edge in 50/50 scrums and provides increased durability through heavy contact.
Both models feature a unique scoop design for effortless ground balls and a no-throat, inside-handle system that brings the player's hand closer to the ball for lightning-fast reaction time.
“We set out to create a unique faceoff head,” Ierlan said. “With our innovative scoop and
no-throat design, we believe we’ve done just that.”
The most dominant faceoff specialist in NCAA history and now a professional player in both the PLL and NLL, Ierlan was deeply involved in the development process. His expertise helped fine-tune the performance of each head to meet the specific needs of elite players.
“By offering two different models, we’re making sure players of all ages can use the head properly and effectively,” Ierlan said. “We’re incredibly excited for everyone to try it out.”
Built using a cold-water quenching process and proprietary plastic blend, the heads are engineered to snap back into shape instantly after flexing. This ensures long-lasting durability and consistent performance, game after game.
Whether you’re just learning the craft or dominating pro-level draws, the Gait Faceoff Flex and Stiff heads offer a tailored experience for every faceoff athlete. With innovation at the forefront and Ierlan’s input behind every detail, these heads are ready to change the game.
