Duke midfielder Nakeie Montgomery will likely be a professional athlete this summer when he hears his name called in the Premier Lacrosse League college draft. There’s also a pretty good chance he hears his name called early on.
But the All-American middie has NFL aspirations, too, and he participated in the Duke Football Pro Day on Monday. Montgomery showcased his speed to NFL scouts, posting a 4.46-second 40-yard dash. By comparison, Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys — Montgomery’s favorite team as a Dallas product himself — ran a 4.47-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in 2015.

Montgomery joined the Duke football team this fall and ran three times for 28 yards with a long run of 16.
