Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Sisters together. Finally.
Ashley and Chloe Humphrey finally get their chance to play together. Ashley has transferred from Stanford where she set an NCAA record with 88 assists in 2022 to North Carolina where she will join, Chloe, one of the most highly-regarded freshmen in the country.
2. Swarm aim to get out the gates quickly.
A slow start doomed the Georgia Swarm in the 2022-23 NLL season. They’ll look to carry the momentum of winning eight of nine games last year after an 0-7 start.
3. Bernhardt in charge at Colby.
USA gold medalist and longtime pro player Jake Bernhardt, most recently the offensive coordinator at Maryland, has been named as the new head men’s lacrosse coach at Colby.
4. Dream combo for Galloway.
Jacksonville head men’s lacrosse coach John Galloway, a former Rochester Rattlers goalie and noted Buffalo Bills fan, was beyond thrilled at Stefon Diggs pregame outfit for the Bills win over the Jets on Sunday.
