SPARKS, Md. — Nearly 175 of the nation’s top high school girls’ lacrosse players have accepted their invitations to participate in the USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program National Combine. The combine will take place at USA Lacrosse headquarters from July 28-31. The players were invited following a series of regional ID clinics at locations around the country, a virtual application process and from the pool of players that competed on last year’s U.S. Youth National Teams (formerly USA Select).
Following the combine, 24 players will be named to the U17 and U19 U.S. Youth National Teams and they will compete in two events at USA Lacrosse headquarters this fall – the Rivalry Challenge against Lacrosse Canada’s youth national teams on the weekend of Sept. 18-21 and at the Brogden Cup against the Haudenosaunee Nationals and Team Ontario the weekend of Oct. 24-26.
Launched in 2019, the National Team Development Program provides high-level training for the nation’s top young players and acclimates them to the national team system. More than 80 percent of the final training team for the U.S. U20 team that won the gold medal in 2024 in Hong Kong participated in the National Team Development Program and the U.S. women’s senior team that won the 2025 Pan-American championship last month included eight former U.S. Youth National Team members - Shea Baker, Rachel Clark, Shea Dolce, Kori Edmondson, Sam Forrest, Chloe Humphrey, Emma LoPinto and Emma Muchnick.
The National Team Development Program is sponsored by Capelli Sport, Gait Lacrosse, STX, MedStar Health, Athletic Republic, First Scout Productions, HotelPlanner and NCSA.
Here’s a complete list of the players that accepted their invitations to the 2025 USA Lacrosse National Combine.
