SPARKS, Md. – The 2027 PLL Play National Sixes Series, a boys’ lacrosse event for young players in Grades 3/4 and Grades 5/6, will hold its championship at Tierney Field on the campus of USA Lacrosse National headquarters. The championship round for the fifth and sixth grade division will be held August 20-22, 2027 at the facility in Sparks, Maryland, just north of Baltimore.
Players will compete in 10 regional qualifiers, representing the regions for the eight Premier Lacrosse League home markets along with Midwest and South region qualifiers, for the right to play for the championship. The PLL Play National Sixes Series will utilize the fast-paced sixes version of the sport that will be showcased in the LA28 Olympics.
The PLL has helped spotlight sixes through its Championship Series the last four years and this December will host the inaugural Global Lacrosse Games, featuring the men’s and women’s national teams from Australia, Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals and the United States. The PLL Play National Sixes Series will bring the sixes format to the youth level on a national scale.
