Emily Parros, an assistant coach under Taylor Cummings Danseglio for the Maryland Charm during the 2025 WLL Championship Series, has been named the new head coach of the team, the league announced Tuesday.
An NCAA champion at North Carolina (2013) and a gold medal midfielder on the U.S. Women's National Team (2022), Parros will oversee a roster headlined by some of the best Maryland Terrapins in recent memory.
The Charm were the only WLL team to miss the knockout rounds of the 2025 Championship Series, finishing 1-2 with a score differential of minus-4. They certainly hope for a better showing in the 2026 Championship Series, which begins Feb. 27 at The St. James in Springfield, Va.
But unlike last year, there is more WLL to come. The league will embark on its inaugural full-field summer season in 2026, meaning Parros will make for more of an impact moving forward.
