SPARKS, Md. – USA Lacrosse and head coach Andy Shay have named the 12 players who will represent the United States in the Pan-American Men’s Lacrosse Sixes Championship which takes place from Sept. 29 through Oct. 4 in Oshawa, Ontario. The eight-team event serves as a continental qualifier for the inaugural World Lacrosse Sixes Championships, set to take place in October 2027 in Colorado Springs.
This will be the first of three international events for the U.S. sixes program in the back half of the year as the global lacrosse community continues the build-up to the LA28 Olympics. The fast-paced sixes discipline of the sport, which debuted on the international scene in 2021, will be the format used for the Olympics.
Following the Pan-American championship, USA Lacrosse will host Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals and Ireland for the Atlas Cup in Sparks, Md., from Oct. 23-25. The Global Lacrosse Games, featuring Australia, Canada, the Haudenosaunee and the United States takes place in Springfield, Va., from Dec. 8-13. All three events will feature both the USA men’s and women’s sixes national teams.
For the Pan-American Championship, the USA roster will feature a number of players that have both represented the country in international championships and have been involved in the sixes program at training camps and competitions.
Danny Logan and Michael Sowers are both multiple time medalists with the U.S. National Team Program, including winning a world championship with the 2023 U.S. men’s team in field lacrosse. Logan also won a silver medal with the 2024 U.S. men’s box team and Sowers won a gold with the U.S. men’s U19 team in 2016.
Liam Entenmann and Patrick Kavanagh won world championships at the 2021 World Lacrosse Men’s U21 championship and Connor Kirst is a two-time medalist with the U.S. national team. Kirst won silver medals in sixes at The World Games 2022 and in box at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championship.

An additional 12 players will be invited to a training camp in Buffalo before the team heads over the border for the event.
