Ingrid Boyum

American hero

Ingrid Boyum epitomized the story of Team One, the first women's box lacrosse team in U.S. national team history. A former star at Navy, Boyum had spent most of her post-graduation time serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Her love of lacrosse never waned. She jumped at the chance to be a pioneer. The rest was history, as she led the U.S. to a historic championship.

U.S. Team

• All-World at the World Lacrosse Box Championship in Utica, N.Y. in 2024
• Made 41 saves in a 10-7 comeback victory over Canada in the gold medal game
• Shut out the Haudenosaunee Nationals for the final 34 minutes in an 11-4 comeback victory
• Finished the tournament with a 87.9 save percentage, the best among starting goalies in the tournament

College

• Second-team All-Patriot League at Navy (2018)
• Helped Navy reach final four for first time in school history (2017)
• Three-year starter, compiling a 48-15 win-loss record
• Made 428 saves in her career, including a career-best 155 as a senior
