SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has named nearly 50 of the nation’s top young boys’ lacrosse players to the 2025 U15 Youth National U17 and U19 teams. The players were selected following a national combine at USA Lacrosse headquarters in late July that featured more than 150 standout players from around the country.

The U.S. Youth National U17 and U19 teams will compete during the Rivalry Challenge against their counterparts from Lacrosse Canada the weekend of September 18-21 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md., and then again from Oct. 24-26 against teams representing the Haudenosaunee Nationals and Team Ontario for the Brogden Cup at USA Lacrosse.

The U.S. Youth National Teams are part of the National Team Development Program, which expanded this year to six total teams – boys’ and girls teams at the U15, U17 and U19 age groupings. More than 2,000 players around the country have participated in the process. Launched in 2019, the National Team Development Program provides high-level training for the nation’s top young players and acclimates them to the national team system.

The co-head coaches for the U17 team are PLL player Mark Glicini and Hofstra assistant coach Michael Gongas. They are assisted by veteran coach Todd MacFarlene and Maryland assistant coach Tim O’Branski.

The co-head coaches for the U19 team are a pair of PLL assistant coaches with U.S. national team experience – Steven Brooks and Drew Snider. They are assisted by Cole Kirst, the captain of the U.S. gold-medal winning U21 team in 2022, and Will Snider, the head coach of O’Dea High School in Washington State.

Former Loyola star and college coach Jack Runkel serves as the goalie coach for the boys’ U.S. Youth National Teams.

The National Team Development Program is sponsored by Capelli Sport, Gait Lacrosse, STX, MedStar Health, Athletic Republic, First Scout Productions, HotelPlanner and NCSA.

Here’s a complete list of the players named to the 2025 U.S. Boys’ U17 and U19 Youth National teams:
