Coach and Official Training Opportunities at USA Lacrosse Denver Regional Academy

SPARKS, Md. — Registration is now open for the USA Lacrosse Denver Regional Academy, a training opportunity for coaches and officials from Dec. 6-7, 2025 at the Sonesta Hotel. There are sessions for coaches both days while the officials are on a one-day track on Dec. 6.

For coaches, the USA Lacrosse Denver Regional Academy will be an intimate educational opportunity curated to provide coaches of every level with practical insight, X’s and O’s instruction from top collegiate, high school and club coaches to support them for the upcoming 2026 season.

Here are some of the confirmed coaching speakers for the USA Lacrosse Denver Regional Academy:

  • Kevin Conry, Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, University of Michigan: Conry has been the head coach at Michigan since the 2018 season and guided the Wolverines to Big Ten championships and NCAA berths in 2023 and 2024.
  • Lindsey Munday, Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, USC: In addition to serving as the only coach in USC’s history, Munday led the U.S. women’s sixes national team to the World Games championship in China this summer.
  • Mike Horowitz, Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, Colorado College: Horowitz has served as the Tigers head coach since the 2022 season and has led Colorado College to a pair of NCAA Division III tournament appearances.
  • Caroline Wakefield, Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach, Arizona State: Wakefield, a national champion as a player at North Carolina and a gold medalist with the U.S. box team in 2024, is entering her fourth season as an assistant coach at Arizona State.
  • Eric Law, Director of Lacrosse Development, Denver City Lax: Law, a former University of Denver star, has been a professional lacrosse player since 2013 and currently plays with the PLL’s Denver Outlaws. He’s won three pro titles and was the MLL’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2017.

The officials’ curriculum will include sessions focused on youth and high school rule changes and points of emphasis for 2026, helping officials deepen their understanding of challenging rules of the game while improving game management skills.

  • Barb Martinichio, USA Lacrosse Girls' Rules Chair  
  • Rena Whitehouse, National and International Official and Trainer    
  • Dan Coronel, Boys' Rules Committee 
  • Jim Carboneau, USA Lacrosse Boys' Rules Chair and Game Official

In addition to the Denver Academy, the USA Lacrosse Connecticut Regional Academy is set for for Jan. 17-18, 2026 in Fairfield, Conn. This academy is geared towards coaches only and registration is now open. A lineup of speakers will be announced in the near future.
