First Scout Expands Partnership with USA Lacrosse

By USA Lacrosse Staff

SPARKS, Md. — First Scout Productions, a leading provider of professional recruitment film services for college-bound student athletes, has expanded its partnership with USA Lacrosse.

First Scout will be the official video partner of the USA Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament and a supporting partner of the National Team Development Program (NTDP). The agreement runs through 2023.

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with USA Lacrosse and add coverage for the National Team Development Program,” said Jon Chastney, CEO & President of First Scout Productions. “Participants want to remember their time donning the red, white and blue. In addition to providing game film and highlights for commemoration and college recruiting, we’ll also be sharing the film with USA Lacrosse to help track athlete development throughout the pipeline. USA Lacrosse is a leader in player development and is creating a clear pathway for the athletes to reach the National Team level. We are honored to play a part in that process.”

The National Team Development Program has been a success for USA Lacrosse since launching in 2019. This year, more than 1,600 athletes have signed up for or participated at 20 regional tryouts around the country. From this group, 300 (150 boys and 150 girls) will be invited to USA Lacrosse headquarters for the National Combine in August. After the combine, USA Lacrosse will name USA Select teams for men’s and women’s U18 and U16 teams that will compete in conjunction with the U.S. national teams during the Fall Classic in October.

“We are incredibly grateful to have First Scout as a teammate in delivering the National Team Development Program,” said Natalie Wills, senior manager of the NTDP for USA Lacrosse. “A digital platform is critical for both our athletes and their future development. First Scout offers a best-in-class package that goes well beyond the gameday experience.”

First Scout Productions will provide the option for a value-add for participants at select regional tryouts this year (including the final men’s tryout on Long Island) and for the National Combine and the NTDP portion of the Fall Classic.
