USA Lacrosse will host six Next Collegiate League games on Tierney Field this coming Thursday beginning at 3 p.m. The Next Collegiate League features six men’s lacrosse teams from historic HBCU institutions — Bowie State University, Coppin State University, Delaware State University, Lincoln University, Morgan State University and the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore — playing under Olympic-style rules.
Thursday’s six-game schedule begins at 3 p.m. and tickets for all six games are just $12 for adults and $8 for youth.
Here’s the schedule for Thursday:
- 3 pm Bowie State vs. Maryland Eastern Shore
- 4 pm Maryland Eastern Shore vs. Coppin State
- 5 pm Morgan State vs. Lincoln University
- 6 pm Bowie State vs. Delaware State
- 7 pm Coppin State vs. Lincoln University
- 8 pm Morgan State vs. Delaware State
This is the inaugural season for the league, which played its first two weekends of games at the University of Maryland in College Park. Thursday’s finale between Delaware State and Morgan State will match the top two teams in the standings through four games. Both schools are 4-0 heading into Thursday’s schedule.
Two games from Sunday’s schedule — Morgan State vs. Lincoln and Coppin State vs. UMES — will air tonight on Next Level Sports & Entertainment.
