Run it Back: 2026 Atlas Cup Dates Set

By Brian Logue

SPARKS, Md. – Following the highly-successful debut of the inaugural Atlas Cup, the dates for the 2026 edition have been set. USA Lacrosse will once again host some of the top men’s and women’s international teams in sixes competition at its headquarters from October 2-4, 2026.

“With Atlas Cup, we set out to build more than just another event — we wanted to create a symbol of where the game is headed,” said Dave Krupinski, VP of Marketing, Media and Communications for USA Lacrosse. “These players are carrying lacrosse to global stages, and this event was designed to reflect that energy and ambition.

“We built a festival-like atmosphere with a DJ on the field, a vendor village, and fan zones to make it as much about community as competition. Our attendance and streaming goals were ambitious, but we didn’t just meet them — we set new records in both categories. You could feel the electricity on the field and in the stands all weekend long, and with 90% of our broadcast audience being first-time viewers, we directly advanced our mission to fuel the growth of the game.”

This year’s Atlas Cup saw the men’s and women’s teams representing Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals, Puerto Rico and the USA from September 26-28 on Tierney Field. Canada won the men’s competition with a perfect 3-0 record behind Titan Award winner Jeff Teat while the USA women went 3-0 to bring home the title, led by Titan Award winner Chloe Humphrey.

The Atlas Cup featured 12 games over the three days with record attendance and viewership numbers compared to previous USA Lacrosse fall events. A total of over 3,250 tickets – including three-day passes – were sold while streaming numbers on the USA Lacrosse YouTube channels were up 400 percent from the previous year’s fall event. USA Lacrosse social media channels logged 11 million total impressions related the Atlas Cup.
