SPARKS, Md. – STX, LLC (“STX”) has signed a multi-year agreement with USA Lacrosse to serve as an official equipment sponsor for the U.S. National Teams Program. Through the agreement, STX will provide equipment for the U.S. men’s and women’s teams in all three disciplines of the sport – box, field and sixes – in addition to the National Team Development Program. All told, STX will help support 14 teams, including the teams that will represent the United States at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The agreement, which runs through 2028, covers a variety of equipment options, including sticks, protective gear, gloves and helmets for national team athletes.
"STX has been a cornerstone in lacrosse's development for generations of athletes and we're proud to continue building on that legacy together,” said Will Blake, VP, Corporate Partnerships for USA Lacrosse. “As a long-time partner with USA Lacrosse, STX is invested in our mission to fuel lacrosse's growth at every level, enrich the experience, and help us field the best U.S. National Teams.
This renewed partnership deepens the joint investment in athletes, coaches, and communities shaping the future of the game."
“Renewing our partnership with USA Lacrosse serves as a strong marker of our commitment to grow the game we love and to empower athletes to perform at the highest level,” Marketing Director Justin McDonald said on behalf of STX. “As an American brand whose origins date back to the invention of the modern lacrosse stick, we take great pride in supporting our national teams, and we are excited to see ambassadors for the sport emerge on the world’s stage when lacrosse returns to the Olympics in 2028.”
The U.S. National Team Program has long excelled at the highest level of the sport, winning a combined 36 world championships since 1967. Three U.S. teams will compete this summer in major international events – the U.S. women’s field team at the Pan-American Lacrosse Association World Qualifier from June 26-30 in Auburndale, Fla; the U.S. women’s sixes team at The World Games in Chengdu, China from Aug. 7-11; and the U.S. men’s U20 team at the World Lacrosse championship from Aug. 15-24 on Jeju Island, Korea.
In addition, the National Team Development Program has flourished since launching in 2019. The U.S. Youth National Teams (U15, U17, U19) will play in two international competitions this fall – the Rivalry Challenge from Sept. 18-21 and the Brogden Cup from Oct. 23-26. Both events will be held at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Maryland.
