UCSB, Florida Remain 1-2 in WCLA D-1 Top 20

Undefeated UC Santa Barbara and Florida Club continue to hold the top two positions in the latest WCLA Division I ranking, released today. The Gauchos and Gators are a combined 25-0 this season and two of six undefeated teams in this week’s Top 20.

No. 3 Clemson, No. 4 Boston College, and No. 5 Michigan round out the top five.

• WCLA Top 20 Rankings:  Division I  --  Division II

No. 11 Utah continues its climb toward the top ten following its win over Utah State last weekend. The Utes were ranked 20th two weeks ago.

No. 15 Michigan State also earned its highest ranking of the season after upsetting No. 5 Michigan in overtime last week and also defeating then-No. 18 Notre Dame. The Spartans return to action with three more games this week, including a matchup against Ohio State.  

Big games in the week ahead include No. 3 Clemson playing both No. 6 Virginia Tech and No. 8 Virginia, with the Hokies and Cavaliers both also playing No. 18 Central Florida.

No. 2 Florida, No. 9 Georgia, and No. 13 Tennessee all play each other in a three-team Saturday round robin.

In Division II, Montana State remains No. 1 and ends a three-week layoff with a match-up against Boise State this coming weekend. No. 2 Denver Club and No. 3 Concordia also remain unchanged. No. 4 Missouri and No. 5 UC Davis round out the top five in Division II.

About the WCLA

Nearly 150 non-varsity collegiate teams comprise the WCLA and compete under the USA Lacrosse umbrella. The season ends every year with the annual Division I and Division II National Championships, which showcase the WCLA’s premier teams. The 2026 championship is scheduled for May 11-16 at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples, Fla. and will feature 16 Division I clubs and 12 Division II teams vying for titles.
