The 2022 slate of college and high school games on Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse headquarters begins this weekend, kicking off with a Top 20 women’s showdown between Connecticut and James Madison on Saturday at 1 p.m.

James Madison, ranked No. 14 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse poll, is led by All-American goalie Molly Dougherty while No. 20 Connecticut features All-American midfielder Sydney Watson. This is the fifth time that these two schools have met at Tierney Field since 2017 for their traditional neutral site battle, missing only the 2021 season due to COVID restrictions.

A total of 25 college and high school games are currently on the schedule from February through May, with more games to be announced in the coming weeks.

The UConn-JMU game is one of five Division I women’s games on the 2022 slate, including No. 11 Michigan playing High Point on March 2 and No. 19 Jacksonville facing Cornell on April 3.

The Tierney Field schedule also features a monster NCAA Division II women’s showdown with No. 1 Lindenwood playing No. 3 LeMoyne on March 6.

Three teams currently in the Nike/USA Lacrosse NCAA Division II men’s rankings will also visit USA Lacrosse headquarters this season. No. 16 Seton Hill is in both games, playing No. 19 Florida Tech on March 5 and No. 3 Tampa on April 23.

Grove City, which entered the Nike/USA Lacrosse NCAA Division III rankings at No. 20 this week, plays Coast Guard on March 5. Dickinson, a traditional Top 20 program, will also play on Tierney Field twice, playing Roanoke on Feb. 27 and St. Mary’s on April 24.

The NCAA Division III women’s schedule is highlighted by a pair of games with No. 18 Colby. The White Mules play Hamilton on March 24 and follow that up with a game against reigning NCAA champion and No. 1 ranked Salisbury on March 26.

The early slate of high school games includes two featuring teams ranked in the final Nike/USA Lacrosse polls from 2021. On April 2, No. 9 Malvern Prep plays No. 18 Bullis and on April 5, No. 16 DeMatha plays LaSalle.
