USA Lacrosse Hosting Virtual Sports Medicine Symposium

USA Lacrosse, in partnership with presenting sponsor MedStar Health, is hosting a virtual Sports Medicine Symposium on Wednesday & Thursday, October 13-14, 2021. The two-day event will provide comprehensive information on men’s and women’s lacrosse-specific sports injuries and prevention. 

The event is open to all members of the medical and lacrosse communities, including physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, allied health personnel, coaches, administrators and students. 

The Symposium is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET on Oct. 13, and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET on Oct. 14. 

Online registration is available at www.usalacrosse.com/symposium, with registration fees offered at two different price points. Registration for participants seeking to receive CME/CEU credits is $65; registration with no CME/CEU credits is $35. 

The Symposium will feature seven different presentations and panel discussions, with a faculty of approximately 25 medical and health experts. The topics to be presented are:

• COVID Pandemic Response
• Emerging Injury Trends
• New Research in Lacrosse
• Team Approach to Team Care 
• Mental Health/Wellness for Athletes
• Safety and Abuse Prevention In Sport 
• Applications and Ethics of Using Biometric Data in Sport
