USA Lacrosse Launches Interactive Virtual Sessions for Coaches

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse is expanding its offerings for coach education through a series of interactive virtual sessions covering a variety of topics. The series will launch on Wednesday, Jan. 10 and continue for 12 weeks through the end of March. 

These coach trainings are live via Zoom and led by experienced USA Lacrosse coach trainers and/or college coaches. Each session will focus on a specific topic and will offer a Q&A period. These trainings are not part of the USA Lacrosse certified coach pathways but offer additional educational support to our member coaches. 

A complete package, including access to all 12 sessions, can be purchased for $65 or individual sessions are available for $9 each. Additional topics may be added in the coming months. 

Here is the current schedule of live sessions: 

  • Jan. 10: Transitions – Clears and Rides (Women’s Game), Joanna Lignelli
  • Jan. 17: Complete Women’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper, John Knowles
  • Jan. 24: Lax 101 for the Men’s Game, Justin Moe
  • Jan. 31: Functionality of Practice Planning (Both games), Rachel Hillhouse
  • Feb. 7: Getting the Most Out of Mobile Coach App (Both games), Katie Carroll
  • Feb. 14: Generating Offense from Transitions (Men’s game), Andrew Stanley
  • Feb. 21: Goalie Play (Men’s game): Bryan McClure
  • Feb. 28: Man Down/Fast Break Defense (Men’s game): Bryan McClure
  • March 6: Riding and Clearing (Men’s game): Justin Moe
  • March 13: Lax 101: Intro Basics for Parent-Coach (Both games), Rachel Hillhouse
  • March 20: Incorporating Social/Emotional Skills into Practices (Both games), Katie Carroll
  • March 27: Coaching for Confidence (Both Games), Joanna Lignelli
