SPARKS, Md. – USA Lacrosse has launched the Momentum Lab, a new in-house consulting initiative designed to help lacrosse programs accelerate growth, strengthen operations, and elevate the experience for players, coaches, officials, and families. By combining national data, proven best practices, and hands-on support from USA Lacrosse staff, the Momentum Lab delivers customized strategies that empower organizations to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Through a tailored evaluation process, each participating USA Lacrosse member program receives a deep analysis of its performance, challenges, and opportunities, followed by actionable recommendations and ongoing guidance from USA Lacrosse staff. The goal is to bolster the overall strength and health of programs to ensure their sustainability and position them for future growth, providing valuable benefits to members.
The initiative is led by Dylan Scheeler, who is currently overseeing beta testing with several large member programs and generating early positive results.
“Working with the Momentum Lab has been great for us,” said Courtney Darche, a program leader with the Jersey Girls Lacrosse Association. “We’ve been trying to create more consistency with our coaching across the league, and planning on building a custom learning course has really helped bring structure to that. It feels like we have more of a game plan in place, and are able to rely on USA Lacrosse on providing a solution. I’m excited to keep building this out and see how it impacts our programs long term.”
“The Momentum Lab has been a really helpful partnership for us so far,” said Debora Isdale, a program leader with the Rhode Island Youth Lacrosse League. “The ability to see where we stand with other leagues, and use co-branded resources makes it a lot easier to stay consistent across our town programs. It’s been a very collaborative process, and we’re looking forward to continuing to build on it moving forward.”
Programs interested in participating in the Momentum Lab during its beta testing phase are invited to apply for consideration by submitting information about their organization via the link below. Selected programs will have the opportunity to work directly with USA Lacrosse to pilot this new initiative and help shape its future impact.
