USA Lacrosse and MedStar Health announced a five-year extension of the partnership between the two organizations, lasting through 2026. The new agreement continues the multi-faceted, long-term collaboration that was initially forged in 2016.
Some of the specific areas of collaboration include continued comprehensive sports medical care from MedStar Health for the 11 U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams and multitude of events held on the Sparks, Maryland campus. It also provides continued research, education and other support for USA Lacrosse’s Center for Sport Science.
In addition, the partnership includes MedStar Health’s sponsorship of the 2022 Women’s World Lacrosse Championship, to be hosted June 29 - July 9, 2022 in Towson, Maryland by USA Lacrosse.
