SPARKS, Md. — All 12 of the players that helped the United States win the women’s lacrosse competition at The World Games in Chengdu, China, will be back in uniform competing at The Atlas Cup at USA Lacrosse headquarters from Sept. 26-28.

The Atlas Cup, featuring the men’s and women’s national sixes teams from Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals, Puerto Rico and the United States, will utilize the sixes format of the sport, the discipline for the lacrosse competition at the 2028 LA Olympics.

The Atlas Cup experience includes fan zones, food trucks, custom merchandise, exclusive gate giveaways and interactive in-game entertainment while offering fans an up-close personal experience with the biggest names in the sport.

The U.S. women went a perfect 5-0 at The World Games, beating rival Canada 16-8 in the gold medal game to avenge a loss to the Canadians from the 2022 edition of The World Games. Marie McCool was named the MVP of The World Games after leading the U.S. team in scoring with 32 points. She was joined on the All-World team by teammates Shea Dolce and Charlotte North.

The U.S. team will prep for the Atlas Cup with a training camp from Sept. 23-25 at USA Lacrosse headquarters. Head coach Lindsey Munday will name an additional 12 players to join the World Games’ players for the training camp.
