SPARKS, Md. — The Nissin Foods 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship will be available for streaming on World Lacrosse TV. A pass to watch all the games from the 16-team tournament, being held in Tokyo, is available for $44.
The United States is aiming to win its fifth consecutive world championship — which would set a new event record. The U.S. captured world championships in 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2022, matching the string of four straight world championships won by the U.S. women from 1989 to 2001. Australia upset the U.S. in the 2005 world championship in Annapolis, Md., the last time the U.S. failed to claim the world title in women's field lacrosse.
In addition to the streaming, complete coverage of the U.S. women’s team will be available on USA Lacrosse Magazine and on the Women’s National Team social media channels: Instagram and X.
The U.S. opens pool play this weekend against Ireland and also has pool play games scheduled against the Haudenosaunee Nationals and Chinese Taipei. The quarterfinals start on July 29 with the championship game set for August 2.

Serving as captains for the USA are Sam Apuzzo, Kenzie Kent, Marie McCool and Caylee Waters. McCool will be going for her third World Lacrosse championship in field lacrosse after helping the U.S. to titles in 2017 and 2022. Apuzzo and Waters both played on the 2022 world championship team and Kent was a COVID alternate for the event. The 22-player roster also features three other gold medalists from 2022 – Ally Kennedy, Ally Mastroianni and Charlotte North.
Serving as the head coach for the U.S. team is Acacia Walker-Weinstein, the head coach at Boston College, who played for the U.S. in 2009, helping to kick off the current string of four straight world championships. Her staff includes Kayla Treanor, the Penn State head coach, who played on the most recent U.S. championship team in 2022.
