Three new teams give the Northeast a different look, the South crowned multiple state champions, the Midwest has a new (old) No. 1 and both the Mid-Atlantic and West are on the edge of some intense playoff action.

NORTHEAST Top 10
Chaminade (N.Y.) continued its winning ways and bumped up to No. 2 after Salisbury (Conn.) suffered its second loss of the year when Brunswick (Conn.) pulled away in their head-to-head matchup. Brunswick is the new No. 3. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) moves up a spot to No. 4 after defeating Staples (Conn.) team for another quality win.
Salisbury comes in at No. 5 after it split its week, opening with a win over Taft (Conn.). Anthony Raio made history with Half Hollow Hills (N.Y.) to help it remain perfect on the year and Choate (Conn.) picked up another strong win to move up to No. 7, the biggest jump of any previously ranked team in the region.
New Canaan (Conn.), Northport (N.Y.) and Garden City (N.Y.) all used decisive wins to move into the rankings. New Canaan knocked off Fairfield Prep (Conn.) in a good matchup, Northport crushed Bay Shore (N.Y.) and Garden City doubled up Somers (N.Y.).

1. Loomis Chaffee (Conn.), 13-1
David Disque (Johns Hopkins) had three goals and two assists, Rowyn Nurry (Cornell) had three goals and one assist, Milki Conway-Reppert (Dartmouth) and Hayden Cody (Georgetown), who won 17 of 20 faceoffs, scored two goals apiece, Anthony Rodriguez (Georgetown) had one goal and three assists and Liam O’Keefe (Harvard) made 17 saves in a 13-5 win over Taft (Conn.). 2. Chaminade (N.Y.), 14-1
Gavin Lynch (Notre Dame) had four goals and two assists, John Balsamo (Virginia) had four goals and one assist, James Gillis (Duke) had two goals and two assists, Quinn Ball (Penn) won 14 of 19 faceoffs and Kieran Walsh (Notre Dame) made 12 saves in a 15-4 win over Manhasset (N.Y.) in the annual Reg’s Rock Lacrosse Day for Heroes in memory of former Chaminade standout Jimmy Regan. 3. Brunswick (Conn.), 13-2
Rick Giordano (North Carolina), David Giuriceo, Ryan Baxter (Colgate), Lucas Garcia (Virginia), and Austin Tuttle were among the goal scorers for the Bruins in an impressive 12-6 win over Salisbury (Conn.). Luke Perriello was strong in Brunswick’s 2-0 week, which included a 10-7 victory over Avon Old Farms (Conn.) with one goal, three assists, and 12 ground balls. Previous: 4
4. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.), 12-4
Gary Merrill (North Carolina) had two goals and two assists, Dylan Harrigan (Michigan) had two goals and one assist, Jake Johnston (Johns Hopkins) had a pair of goals and Danny Rooney (Maryland) added one goal and three assists in a 10-8 win at Staples, the fifth straight win for a Friars team looking to avenge a one-goal loss to Chaminade and win a fifth straight NSCHSAA title at Hofstra’s Shuart Stadium Thursday. 5. Salisbury (Conn.), 12-2
Following an 11-9 win over Taft, the Crimson Knights got off to a fast start but fell to Brunswick, 12-6. They will look to rebound against Deerfield (Mass.) in their regular-season finale. Previous: 2
6. Half Hollow Hills (N.Y.), 14-0
Anthony Raio (North Carolina) had four goals and four assists, becoming the all-time leading scorer in Suffolk County history with 255 goals, James Bruno (Dickinson) had five goals and three assists and Zach Marco (Harvard) added two goals and three assists in a 22-8 win over Commack (N.Y.). 7. Choate (Conn.), 10-3
Kyle Hata (Maryland) was 90 percent from the faceoff X, Luke Hegarty had three goals and two assists, Gus Markley netted a hat trick, Gordie Leary (Dartmouth) had two goals and one assist and George Hawley (Dartmouth) was dominant defensively in an 18-9 win over Hotchkiss (Conn.). Previous: 9
8. New Canaan (Conn.), 12-1
Matt Reed had three goals and three assists, Henry Hladick (Trinity) had three goals and two assists, and Carson Roeder and Grey Wildman added a pair of goals each in a 12-8 win over Fairfield Prep (Conn.), the Rams’ sixth straight win. Previous: NR
9. Northport (N.Y.), 12-2
Logan Cash (Siena) had three goals and three assists, Jack Deliberti (Ohio State) had two goals and four assists, Greyson Cabrera (UMass) had three goals and one assist and Tommy O’Brien and Luke Loiacono had two goals and one assist each in a 19-2 win over Bay Shore (N.Y.). Previous: NR

Charlie Koester (Lehigh) had five goals and two assists, Ben Smith had two goals and one assist, Luke Cascadden (Navy) won 13 of 22 faceoffs, and Jake Schlipf made 12 saves in a 12-6 win over Somers (N.Y.). Previous: NR

Mid-Atlantic Top 10
Here we go! The Mid-Atlantic Region rankings are largely the same as last week, but with the MIAA A Conference playoffs finishing this week, there could be changes ahead.
No. 1 Archbishop Spalding (Md.) faces the only team that has beaten it this year, No. 7 Boys’ Latin (Md.). No. 2 Calvert Hall (Md.) and No. 5 McDonogh (Md.) are the other semifinal. The final is set for Friday.
Elsewhere, No. 9 Landon (Md.) made history by repeating as IAC champions to round off a season in which it lost only once after suffering some significant graduation losses. No. 8 Haverford School (Pa.) — the one team to beat Landon this year — is the only team to fall in the rankings this week after dropping a one-goal game to a dangerous Episcopal (Pa.) team that has also beaten No. 6 Malvern (Pa.) once this year. The three will share the league regular-season crown.
Seton Hall Prep (N.J.) made it 12 straight county titles. The Pirates established that dynasty long ago.

1. Archbishop Spalding (Md.), 17-1
The Cavaliers close the regular season with a 12-7 win over Mount Saint Joseph (Md.). The win was their 10th straight win and earned them the top seed and a quarterfinal bye for the MIAA A Conference playoffs. Now they have a chance to avenge their one loss of the season when they play fourth-seeded Boys’ Latin (Md.) in the tournament semifinals May 13. Boys’ Latin won by a goal in their March 28 matchup. The winner advances to the May 16 final. Previous: 1
2. Calvert Hall (Md.), 14-2
The Cardinals defeated Loyola Blakefield (Md.) 11-8 to earn the No. 3 seed for the MIAA playoffs. Calvert Hall opened the tournament with a 13-5 win over St. Paul’s (Md.). Mark Botek scored five goals, Peyton Forte had four scores and Brady Stangle made 12 saves in the win. Next they face No. 2 seed McDonogh (Md.) in the semifinals. McDonogh is three-time defending champions and was a one-goal winner when they met April 8. Previous: 2
3. Delbarton (N.J.), 13-2
The Green Wave rolled into the Morris County Tournament final after three convincing wins. The top seed beat Pequannock (N.J.) 14-2 in the first round, took care of Jefferson (N.J.) 14-2 in the quarterfinals and downed West Morris (N.J.) 18-3 in the semifinals. Delbarton had a balanced effort against West Morris with Gavin Romweber scoring a hat trick and Chase Quenault, Andrew Johnson, Peter Falk, Asher Testa and Alex Schobel all scoring twice apiece. Schobel also had three assists while Falk and Testa had two each. They’ll meet Chatham (N.J.) in the championship on May 13. Previous: 3
4. Lawrenceville (N.J.), 15-3
The Big Red swept another pair last week. They handed Hill (Pa.) a 15-5 loss to secure their fifth straight Mid-Atlantic Prep League championship. They had the same margin of victory in a 19-9 win over Kiski (Pa.). Previous: 4
5. McDonogh (Md.), 12-5
The Eagles finished the regular season with a 17-14 win over Gilman (Md.) to secure the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye for the MIAA playoffs. McDonogh will try to defeat third-seeded Calvert Hall (Md.) again in the semifinals next for the chance to play for an unprecedented fourth straight conference crown. Previous: 5
6. Malvern Prep (Pa.), 16-7
Malvern earned a share of the regular-season Inter-Ac title with wins over Penn Charter (Pa.) and Springside Chestnut Hill (Pa.) and handed Salesianum (Del.) a 17-11 defeat to finish the regular season. Mike Ortlieb had four goals and Joey Murphy scored a hat trick in an 18-3 win over Penn Charter. Heath Jones had 11 saves, Abe Utecht went 10 for 16 at X and Ortlieb had a hat trick in a 10-4 win over Springside Chestnut Hill. Ortlieb scored another four goals, Murphy had three goals and two assists and Danny Lucovich dished out three assists in the win over Salesianum. Jones made nine saves. They compete next in the PAISAA tournament. Previous: 7
7. Boys' Latin (Md.), 13-4
The Lakers dominated in a 14-6 win over St. Paul’s (Md.) to finish the regular season and earn the No. 4 seed for the MIAA playoffs. They won their quarterfinal matchup against Loyola Blakefield (Md.) 9-5. Matt Higgins scored four goals and had a pair of assists and Garrett Held made 12 saves. The Lakers will try to knock off Archbishop Spalding again, this time in the MIAA semifinals. Previous: 8
8. Haverford School (Pa.), 14-4
The Fords finished the regular season with an 8-7 loss to Episcopal (Pa.) that puts them tied for the Inter-Ac regular-season title with Episcopal and Malvern. Haverford rolled by Germantown Academy (Pa.) 20-2. The PAISAA tournament is next. Previous: 6
9. Landon (Md.), 18-1
The Bears dialed up some history to end their year. Landon became the first team since they did it in 2001 and 2002 to win the IAC regular season outright and the IAC tournament in back-to-back seasons. Devin Stewart had a hat trick in an 11-7 win over St. Albans (D.C.) in the semifinals. They won the championship game, 9-7, over Bullis (Md.) with Logan Cassidy putting the clamps down defensively, Makana Neverosky scoring three goals and Jonas Hawkins scoring twice and having an assist. 10. Seton Hall Prep (N.J.), 13-2
The Pirates cruised to their 12th straight Essex County Tournament title ahead of a huge national showdown this week. After a 19-1 win over Columbia in the county quarterfinals, SHP rolled by Montclair (N.J.) 12-2. Nolan Sabel had a hat trick and Joe DelMauro and Owen Dunleavy each had two goals apiece while Clark Rich scored a goal and had two assists. Dylan Oakes had a pair of assists. In their 14-5 win over Caldwell (N.J.) for the title, Sabel scored four goals, Rich had a hat trick DelMauro posted two goals and two assists and Dunleavy scored twice and had an assist. Lucas Angel and Teddy Coyle each went 9 for 10 on faceoffs. The Pirates face Brunswick (Conn.) to start their week before facing Montclair again. Previous: 10

SOUTH Top 10
The teams remained the same, but the order of the South Region was adjusted after several big playoff results.
Most shockingly was Lake Mary (Fla.) falling for the first time all year. Their one-goal semifinal loss dropped the former No. 2 ranked Rams to No. 6.
Their loss opened the door for Highland Park (Texas) to move up one spot after it defeated Episcopal Dallas (Texas) for the second time in a month. They were dominant in their semifinal win as well while Episcopal reached the final by ending a good season for No. 10 The Woodlands (Texas).
The only school ranked ahead of them is Benjamin (Fla.) which capped an incredible season with a state title over perennial powerhouse St. Andrew’s (Fla.). No. 5 St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) was also crowned state champion for the first time in three years. No. 7 Lambert (Ga.) goes for its state championship and a perfect season this week.

1. Benjamin (Fla.), 24-1
The Buccaneers rallied from a three-goal deficit in the third quarter to topple St. Andrew’s (Fla.) 14-11 in the state championship. Despite battling a sprained ankle, Alex Ponchock recorded a hat trick, as did Jayden Vega. Benjamin reached the final with a 10-5 win over Community School Naples (Fla.). Tatum Little was stellar in goal, stopping 11 of 16 shots. Previous: 1
2. Highland Park (Texas), 19-3
The Scots denied Episcopal Dallas a repeat title with an 8-4 win. After building a 5-0 lead, ESD cut the margin to 5-4 before Duncan Zielke’s goal through the five-hole halted the comeback. Highland Park reached the final with an 11-3 semifinal win over Dallas Jesuit, led by a hat trick from Henrik Johnson. Previous: 4
3. IMG Academy (Fla.), 14-2
The Ascenders closed out their regular season with a 14-9 win over Governor’s Academy (Mass.). Their season was highlighted by wins over Westlake (Texas), Deerfield (Mass.), and Springside Chestnut Hill (Pa.). Previous: 3
4. Episcopal Dallas (Texas), 19-3
The Eagles fell short in their title defense, losing 8-4 to Highland Park. After trailing 5-0, ESD rallied but couldn’t complete the comeback. They reached the final by defeating The Woodlands (Texas) 11-7 in the semifinals. Previous: 5
5. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 21-3
The Raiders captured their fourth state title — and first since 2022 — by dominating Ponte Vedra (Fla.) 21-3. Diego Salazar led the way with seven goals. In the semifinals, Salazar scored twice in a 9-6 win over Plant (Fla.). Previous: 6
6. Lake Mary (Fla.), 19-1
The Rams' quest for a three-peat ended in a 10-9 loss to Ponte Vedra (Fla.). It was their only close contest all year, having won their previous 19 games by at least six goals. Previous: 2
7. Lambert (Ga.), 21-0
The Longhorns reached the state final after defeating Buford (Ga.) 17-4 and Walton (Ga.) 13-2. Brooks Wehman starred with four goals against Buford and three against Walton. Previous: 8
8. St. Andrew’s (Fla.), 18-7
The Scots let a three-goal second-half lead slip away in a 14-11 loss to Benjamin (Fla.) in the state final. They advanced with a 17-4 win over Bolles (Fla.). Previous: 7
9. Lucy Beckham (S.C.), 17-3
The Bengals won the state championship with a 14-5 victory over Nation Ford (S.C.). Bear Hankins led the team with 64 goals, while Luke Fredericks posted a 63.7% save rate. Key wins included Bishop England (S.C.) and Potomac (Va.). Previous: 10
10. The Woodlands (Texas), 12-5
The Highlanders’ season ended with an 11-7 loss to Episcopal Dallas, their second defeat to ESD in less than a month, following a 12-11 overtime loss in April. Previous: 9

Edina (Minn.) knocked off last year’s state champions to serve notice and enter the Midwest Region rankings.
The Hornets are the only new team in the region coming in at No. 10, and there’s also a change up top at No. 1. Culver Academy returns to the top spot new No. 2 Western Reserve (Ohio) defeated previous No. 1 St. Xavier (Ohio). Culver, which already owns a pair of wins over Western, slides up one spot to the top heading into the National Prep Lacrosse Championship.
No. 4 Olentangy Liberty (Ohio) flexed its muscles with a win over No. 9 Worthington Kilbourne (Ohio). No. 6 Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.) also got a great head-to-head challenge within region, and survived in overtime against No. 7 Brother Rice (Mich.). Worthington Kilbourne (Ohio) could still climb if they can advance in their region playoffs to get a shot at No. 5 Upper Arlington (Ohio).

1. Culver Academy (Ind.), 12-2
After winning the Midwest Scholastic Lacrosse Association championship last week, the Eagles got a well-deserved week off before competing in the National Prep Lacrosse Championship this coming weekend. Culver will kick off the NPLC with a May 16 game against Academy of the New Church (Pa.). Previous: 2
2. Western Reserve (Ohio), 14-5
The Pioneers scored an impressive victory over St. Xavier (Ohio), the lone Midwest team to beat Culver this year. Senior Charlie Quinn led the way in their 14-12 victory over the Bombers, going 7 of 10 at the X. Previous: 3
3. St. Xavier (Ohio), 13-2
The Bombers continue to compete valiantly even with Ohio State commit Khalif Hocker, one of the Midwest’s top players, out for the season due to injury. Luke Sprong and DJ Wojciechowski both had hat tricks in St. Xavier’s win over Dublin Jerome (Ohio) and very close loss at Western Reserve Academy (Ohio). Previous: 1
4. Olentangy Liberty (Ohio), 16-2
The Patriots scored victories over a trio of top-10 Ohio teams to finish the regular season. Jake Struck had another massive week, including eight goals, five ground balls and three caused turnovers against Olentangy Orange and five goals, four ground balls and three assists against a fellow ranked team in Worthington Kilbourne. 5. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 10-7
In their last full week of the regular season, the Golden Bears split, beating Hilliard Davidson (Ohio) by seven and falling to Hill Academy (Ont.) by seven. Upper Arlington’s regular-season finale will come Wednesday against Thomas Worthington (Ohio). Previous: 5
6. Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.), 17-0
The Shamrocks stayed perfect by the slimmest of margins, edging longtime rival Brother Rice (Mich.) in overtime. Lachlan Moffatt led the way with four goals for DCC, which will finish its regular season at Forest Hills Central (Mich.) May 15 before opening postseason play against Salem May 17. Previous: 6
7. Brother Rice (Mich.), 13-5
Taking the undefeated Shamrocks to overtime certainly isn’t a bad way to head into the postseason for the Warriors, who also drew a one seed. Outside of DCC, Brother Rice is undefeated against in-state competition as it opens Region 4 play May 14 against Troy Athens. Previous: 7
8. Rockhurst Jesuit (Mo.), 13-1
The Hawklets dominated their Lacrosse Association of Kansas City quarterfinal against St. Thomas Aquinas, as their defense finished with 42 ground balls and 20 takeaways in a 16-0 win. Fletcher Anderson led Rockhurst with four goals while James Bundy, Sam Komenda and Quinn Scanlon added three points apiece. The Hawklets next face Pembroke Hill in a LAKC semi May 14. Previous: 8
9. Worthington Kilbourne (Ohio), 15-3
The Wolves ended their regular season on the right note, bouncing back from a loss to Olentangy Liberty with a win two days later at Hudson, another very solid in-state opponent. Worthington Kilbourne is a two seed in Region 3, the same region as Upper Arlington. Previous: 10
10. Edina (Minn.), 9-1
The Hornets are quickly establishing themselves as a leading contender in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, including an 11-goal win over last year’s state champs: Benilde-St. Margaret’s. Five days later, Edina handed another solid in-state foe, Eden Prairie, its first loss. Previous: NR

West Top 10
The playoffs are in full swing for California and Colorado teams and the West Region hasn’t changed rankings this week.
No. 1 Loyola-Los Angeles (Calif.) is into its championship game, and Cherry Creek (Colo.) has kept its unbeaten season going into the playoffs. St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) won the WCAL Tournament and has eyes on another tournament win now. No. 4 Torrey Pines (Calif.) hopes to keep its title streak intact.
No. 5 Valor Christian (Colo.) is into its quarterfinals as is No. 7 Colorado Academy (Colo.) and No. 8 Arapahoe (Colo.). Regardless of outcomes, there is some great lacrosse ahead in the Colorado playoffs.
Marin Catholic (Calif.) will try to assert its No. 6 ranking against a capable De La Salle (Calif.) team in a key semifinal matchup. No. 9 Monte Vista (Calif.) and No. 10 La Costa Canyon (Calif.) are both into their next rounds of the playoffs. Plenty can change based on which teams win coming down the stretch.

1. Loyola-Los Angeles (Calif.), 20-3
The Cubs defeated Corona Del Mar (Calif.), 15-5, and Foothill-Los Angeles (Calif.), 11-9, to punch their ticket to the program’s third consecutive CIF-SS Division I title game. Loyola-Los Angeles faces Mater Dei (Calif.) in the championship on May 17. Previous: 1
2. Cherry Creek (Colo.), 16-0
After a first round bye, No. 1 seed Cherry Creek downed Denver South (Colo.), 19-4, and the Bruins are set to take on No. 8 seed Regis Jesuit (Colo.) in the CHSAA Class 5A quarterfinals next. Cherry Creek previously defeated the Raiders, 11-3, in the regular season finale. Previous: 2
3. St. Ignatius (Calif.), 18-3
St. Ignatius was crowned the WCAL Tournament Champions after defeating Juniperro Serra (Calif.) and Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.). At the No. 1 overall seed, the Wildcats were scheduled to kick off the CCS Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament against Menlo School (Calif.) round one on May 12. Previous: 3
4. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 13-5
The Falcons are on the hunt for their seventh straight CIF title and start the journey with a rematch against Santa Fe Christian (Calif.) on May 14. Torrey Pines defeated Santa Fe, 15-8, in the regular season finale. Previous: 4
5. Valor Christian (Colo.), 14-2
No. 3 seed Valor Christian routed Rock Canyon (Colo.), 16-2, in the CHSAA Class 5A Championship second round. Sophomore JT Cross and juniors Blake Ham and Christian Eframo each netted four goals in the playoff victory. The Eagles are fighting for their second straight state title and face sixth-seeded Denver East (Colo.) in the quarterfinals next. Previous: 5
6. Marin Catholic (Calif.), 19-5
Marin Catholic is en route to the NCS semifinals after dominating Novato (Calif.), 21-7, and shutting out Berkeley (Calif.), 20-0. The Wildcats take on familiar foe De La Salle (Calif.) on May 13. Previous: 6
7. Colorado Academy (Colo.), 13-3
Colorado Academy defeated Chatfield (Colo.), 16-6 in the second round of the CHSAA Class 5A Championship. Senior Teddy Hardy (Denison) led the team with seven points on three goals and four assists and added four ground balls. The fourth-seeded Mustangs take on Poudre School District (Colo.) in the quarterfinals on May 14. Previous: 7
8. Arapahoe (Colo.), 14-2
Arapahoe knocked off Lakewood (Colo.), 11-5, in the second round of the state tournament, powered behind seven different goal scorers. The Warriors take on No. 10 seed Legend in the quarterfinals on May 14. Previous: 8
9. Monte Vista (Calif.), 18-2
Monte Vista downed Cardinal Newman (Calif.), 17-2, in the NCS quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals against Tamalpais (Calif.) on May 13. Previous: 9
10. La Costa Canyon (Calif.) 11-6
No. 2 seeded-La Costa Canyon will rematch Bishop’s School (Calif.) in the second round of the CIF San Diego Section playoffs after a first round bye. The Mustangs defeated Bishop’s, 4-2, in the regular season finale last week. Previous: 10
