SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse headquarters will be home to some of the sport’s best lacrosse players on the weekend of Oct. 13-15 for the 2023 USA Lacrosse Fall Classic.

The three-day event features the U.S. and Canadian men’s senior teams and women’s U20 teams, reigning NCAA women’s champion Northwestern, NCAA men’s semifinalist Penn State, the USA Select U16 and U18 boys’ and girls’ teams and high school-aged teams from the Haudenosaunee Nation and Ontario.

USA Lacrosse members can pre-purchase tickets for the Fall Classic at a discounted rate of $15 daily or a weekend package for $25. Members gain exclusive access to VIP ticket packages which includes food & beverage hospitality, dedicated viewing area and more now through September 5.

Friday night features the U.S. women’s U20 training team playing rival Canada in a prelude to next summer’s world championship in Hong Kong, and will be followed by a rematch of the 2023 men’s world championship game from San Diego when the U.S. and Canadian men go head-to-head.

On Saturday morning, Northwestern will play both the Canadian and U.S. women’s U20 teams in a doubleheader. Kelly Amonte Hiller is the head coach for the both the Northwestern and U.S. U20 teams. The Wildcats, who won the program’s eighth national championship last spring, will be led by returning Tewaaraton winner Izzy Scane. Scane is an alum of the U.S. team program, winning gold with the U19 team in 2019, and this year’s U20 training team includes seven current Northwestern players and commits.

Penn State will then take on both the Canadian and U.S. men’s senior teams on Saturday afternoon. Penn State is coming off of an 11-5 season that included a run to the NCAA semifinals when it lost a 16-15 overtime thriller against Duke. Penn State is coached by Jeff Tambroni, an assistant coach on the 2014 U.S. men’s national team.

The USA Select teams will be competing with teams from the Haudenosaunee Nation and Ontario for the Brogden Cup. Games begin on Friday and run through Sunday at USA Lacrosse headquarters and the Gilman School in Baltimore. Admission to all of the games for the Brogden Cup is free of charge.

Tickets for kids 5 and under are free for the Fall Classic and spectators can explore the Fan Zone with food trucks, face painting, sponsor activities and more.
