Calvert Hall (Md.) scored a huge double-overtime win over two-time national No. 1 Lawrenceville to alter the rankings, and a big split by Chaminade (N.Y.) had a ripple effect, including helping one of two new teams that entered this week’s USA Lacrosse High School Boys' National Top 25.
The Cardinals certainly kept things exciting with a pair of overtime wins, the second being the more meaningful when they knocked off Lawrenceville.
Chaminade (N.Y.) stunned McDonogh (Md.) with their second one-goal loss this year. But two days later, it was Loyola Blakefield (Md.) which registered a three-goal win over Chaminade. The Dons only loss came to Haverford School (Pa.) and they make a huge splash at No. 11 in their rankings debut.
Both Calvert and Loyola Blakefield could vault even further. Both coincidentally are lined up this week to take on Malvern Prep (Pa.), which picked up two more impressive wins to remain No. 1.

No. 2 St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) also established itself with a quality win over No. 6 Culver Academy (Ind.).
Also new to the national rankings is a Benjamin (Fla.) team that can’t be ignored. The Buccaneers have largely manhandled their competition, and that includes new West Region No. 1 Loyola-Los Angeles (Calif.), during a perfect start. Benjamin faces its biggest test next — a visit from McDonogh.
With many schools taking spring break trips, there are chances for teams from less traditional areas to impact the rankings. Scroll below for this week's National Top 25 and Regional Top 10 lists, with each team's previous ranking denoted in parenthesis.
