Learning Management System
USA Lacrosse has hundreds of online coaching courses, many of them free to USA Lacrosse members. The array of courses cover both teaching skills of the sport and more theoretical approaches to coaching. Access the Learning Management System here.
Mobile Coach
USA Lacrosse Mobile Coach app gives you access to over 500 men’s and women’s lacrosse games/drills, with diagrams and videos on your iOS or Android device. Users can sort by skill, gender, and developmental stage. In addition, the app provides pre-built athlete development aligned practice plans, which can be used as is, or can be customized to your specific needs. Even better, when you launch your app on Friday, January 14, 2022, you will be treated to an incredible new user experience. The new version of Mobile Coach will include even more customizable features to support you and your athletes, including an enhanced white boarding feature (phones and tablets only) and desktop accessibility. Instructional Clinics
USA Lacrosse offers clinics — both virtual and in-person — through its Coach Development Program. The Level 1 offerings are centered on teaching individuals while the Level 2 courses build on Level 1 and expand to team concepts. Teaching Basics Video Series
USA Lacrosse Coach Development Program trainers offer a series of videos designed to teach eight basic fundamentals from shooting to cutting to individual defense and more. Access the videos here.
Coaching Certification
It is our vision that all lacrosse teams are coached by USA Lacrosse certified coaches for the benefit and quality of our sport. The certification process is designed to be completed over a period of 3-5 years, and is for coaches of all levels. USA Lacrosse encourages all coaches to participate in some or all components of the Coach Development Program, and encourages leagues and clubs to utilize the Coach Development Program for their needs. USA Lacrosse membership covers the cost of background checks and abuse prevention training courses that are part of the certification process. Learn more here.
