SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has selected 24 of the nation’s top young players to represent the United States as the 2026 U.S. Boys’ U17 Youth National Team, completing a months-long evaluation process that included regional ID clinics and a national combine.
Led by co-head coaches Mark Glicini (Mark Glicini Peak Performance) and Tim O’Branski (Maryland) and assistant coach Todd MacFarlane (Boston Cannons), the team features players from the high school classes of 2028 and 2029 who come from 11 different states. They will compete internationally in the Brogden Cup (Sept. 25-27 in Sparks, Md.) and Rivalry Challenge (Oct. 9-11 in Oshawa, Ontario).
Three players return from 2025 U.S. Youth National Teams. Upper Arlington (Ohio) attackman Parker Old is back for a second stint with the U17 squad. Old’s high school teammate, long-stick midfielder Peter Harper, and St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) attackman Jake Neidig have moved forward in the pipeline after playing for the U15 team last year.
The U.S. will put both the field and sixes disciplines to the test Sept. 25-27 at the Brogden Cup, when USA Lacrosse hosts counterparts from Lacrosse Canada and the Haudenosaunee Nationals at its headquarters in Sparks, Md. The event will provide the latest group of National Team Development Program players with their first opportunity to wear the red, white and blue together on an international stage.
