Stony Brook '20Electric speed is just part of the story
Ally Kennedy burst onto the national team scene during her college days at a USA training camp at a place where dreams come true — Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports. She eventually earned a spot on the 2022 U.S. women's team, helping the team win the World Lacrosse Women's Championship in Towson, Md.
Her versatility was showcased in 2024 during the inaugural World Lacrosse Women's Box Championship. Playing in a defensive role, she used her breakaway ability to lead fast break after fast break. She finished with 24 goals, the second most on the team, and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player after leading the U.S. to a gold medal.
U.S. Team
- Made her debut with the national team in 2018 at the IWLCA President's Cup in Orlando
- Won a gold medal with the 2022 U.S. field team
- Scored 11 goals, sixth on the team, during 2022 world championship
- MVP and All-World at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championship
- Second on the team with 24 goals at the box championship, helping the team win the inaugural gold medal
- Scored seven goals in semifinal box tournament win over Australia

- Two-time first team IWLCA All-American at Stony Brook

- Finished Stony Brook career ranked third in career goals (266), ninth in assists (63), fourh in points (329), second in ground balls (180) and second in draw controls (343)
Pro/Off the Field
- Assistant women's lacrosse coach at Ohio State
- No. 2 overall pick in 2021 Athletes Unlimited Draft and went on to finish 16th in points on the leaderboard in her rookie year
- Played in AU through 2024
- Will play in inaugural WLL All-Star game in 2025
