Ann Elliott Whidden, the head women’s lacrosse coach at the University of Colorado, was an assistant coach on the 2019 U.S. women’s U19 staff that won a gold medal in Peterborough, Ontario.

Whidden was hired as Colorado’s first varsity coach in 2012 and has led the program to a record of 109-61 and three NCAA tournament appearances through the 2023 season. Whidden has a long connection with U.S. head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller, winning three national championships as a player at Northwestern (2005-06-07), and then was a part of three more national championships (2009-11-12) as an assistant coach with the Wildcats before leaving to start up the Colorado program.
