Lutherville, Md.Injuries and the pandemic have altered Brendan Grimes' progression, but he's one of the most talented players in the country.
Grimes burst into the national spotlight after leading Boys' Latin to the MIAA "A" Conference championship game as a sophomore. His junior year was cut short due to injury and then he missed his final year of high school lacrosse due to the global pandemic.
He returned to field in 2021, and was the only freshman to start a a game for Johns Hopkins, finishing the year with eight goals. He started 2022 with hat tricks in two of Hopkins' first three games before missing a month of the season due to injury. He returned in late March and now the 6-foot-4 midfielder is poised to continue his comeback with the U.S. team.

- Named to U.S. team following tryouts in the summer of 2019

- No. 4 rated player in Class of 2020 by Inside Lacrosse
- Set a Boys' Latin single-season record with 61 goals as a sophomore in 2018
- His junior season was cut short due to injury and senior year wiped out to COVID-19 pandemic
- Had 104 goals in his high school career
COLLEGE
- Has played both midfield and attack at Johns Hopkins
- Limited to 11 games in 2022 due to injury, but finished with 11 goals and hat tricks against Georgetown and Towson
- Part-time starter as a freshman in 2021, finishing with eight goals, including three against U.S. 21 coach Nick Myers' Ohio State team
