North Carolina '21Two words are synonymous with Taylor Moreno: Champion and Excellence
No matter the discipline or location, Moreno has found success. After playing on the training team for the 2022 U.S. women’s squad, Moreno made her USA championship debut in helping the 2024 U.S. women’s box team win the inaugural World Lacrosse women’s box championship.
No goalie has been in a bigger spotlight in the professional game than Moreno. Moreno topped the Athletes Unlimited individual leaderboard her first two seasons (2022, 2023) and finished as the runner-up in 2024.
At North Carolina, she set multiple school records, including career wins (70) and saves (667). She led the Tar Heels to a national championship in 2022, following up on her 2021 season when she was the IWLCA Goaltender of the Year and a Tewaaraton finalist.
