West Chester UniversityA graduate of the Philadelphia public school system and West Chester University, Green was a member of the U.S. Women's National First Team and the Reserve Team from 1969-1971. She was on the Touring Team to Australia-New Zealand in 1969 and then Great Britain-Northern Ireland in 1970.
After founding the women's lacrosse program at both Unionville High School and Lincoln (Pa.) University, she was hired as an instructor/coach at Temple University. Green coached at Temple from 1974-1992, winning the national championship three times and making 11 straight appearances in the NCAA final four at one point. She has written two books and was the co-founder of the Black Women in Sports Foundation. She also founded the Inner City Field Hockey and Lacrosse Program at Temple.
Green served as co-principal investigator of Temple's Sisters in Sports Science, an initiative funded by the National Science Foundation. She was also the program director of Temple's National Youth Sports Program, helping to establish clinics and monitoring programs for underserved girls in cities across the country.
Green has also been inducted into six other halls of fame. Now retired, Professor Green continues to work locally and nationally to expand the sport of lacrosse among girls of color. She was inducted as "a truly great player who has contributed noteworthy service to lacrosse over the years."
