Sixes made its formal debut for USA Lacrosse at the 2021 Super Sixes event held at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md. The first international championship took place in The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Ala., where Canada pulled away for a 14-12 victory over the United States in the gold medal game.
