The U.S. women’s team tryouts were highlighted by a one-hour livestream on Thursday night that served as critical fundraising effort for the national team program. A $50,000 matching gift from a USA Lacrosse Foundation board member was met and foundation board members combined to donate an additional $200,000 to support the program.
Former national team players Sheehan Stanwick Burch and Kristen Kjellman Marshall hosted the show, which featured interviews with head coach Jenny Levy, assistant coach Joe Spallina, players Taylor Cummings, Megan Douty, Liz Hogan, Marie McCool, Charlotte North, Izzy Scane and foundation board member Sol Kumin.
