The National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, a program of USA Lacrosse, announces the addition of eight new inductees as the members of the Class of 2025.

The 2025 inductees are: Ned Crotty, Matt Danowski, Leif Elsmo, Maggie Faulkner, Tom Flatley (posthumous), Christie Jenkins Kemezis, Crista Samaras, and Kristin Sommar Jenney.

As one would expect in a place like Casper, Wyoming, outdoor recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking and skiing are quite popular. Lacrosse hopes to join that roster in the near future.

With support from USA Lacrosse, which provided sticks and other equipment, the Boys & Girls Club of Central Wyoming recently hosted a two-day event designed to introduce the game and empower youth. Providing hands-on skills training through clinics, and competition opportunities with a Flex6 tournament, the event drew over 200 youth participants.

Vin Savastano is proud to say that lacrosse is his family’s unofficial business.

As a lifelong resident of Westchester County in New York’s Hudson Valley region, Savastano was primarily a baseball and football player in his youth, but lacrosse was never far off his radar since his father, Vin Sr., was a lacrosse coach and longtime physical education teacher at Yorktown High School.

The U.S. Men’s National Team will begin the run-up to the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in field lacrosse with a training camp this weekend (October 17-19) at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md. This will be the first training opportunity for the U.S. men’s field team since Seth Tierney was named the head coach of the program in April 2024.

Mitch Fenton, associate head coach for the University of Colorado women’s lacrosse team, shared the fundamentals of goaltending with his “No Goalie Coach? No Problem” presentation during the USA Lacrosse Denver Regional Academy last year.

Proper goaltending starts with the stance. And it’s one of the things goalies can have control of at all times.

The U.S. men’s sixes national team will be back in action for the second time in three weeks when it competes at the World Lacrosse Super Sixes event in Oshawa, Ontario from Oct. 10-12. The U.S. went 2-1 at the Atlas Cup in late September, beating the Haudenosaunee Nationals and Puerto Rico while losing to Canada.

Failure is an inevitable, healthy, and normal part of life — and a great way to “practice” failure is though youth sports. Being able to accept failure and also grow from it are skills, and testing those skills in low-stakes situations can have big payoffs later in life.

Dr. Aaron Dinin, who teaches an entrepreneurship class at Duke University called Learning to Fail, and TrueSport expert Kevin Chapman, PhD, a clinical psychologist, explain the benefits of failure and how you can use failure as your team’s secret super power.

There’s a popular saying that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Schuyler Horn, founder and executive director of the Lacrosse the Bay (LTB) youth program in Monterey, California, has no problem with that philosophy. After all, one of LTB’s most successful initiatives, its K-2 introductory experience for the youngest kids, came from flag football.

SPARKS, Md. – In addition to the 12 women’s lacrosse players that will represent the United States in the Atlas Cup this weekend, U.S head coach Lindsey Munday has announced 12 additional players that will be at USA Lacrosse headquarters this week for a sixes training camp.

The Atlas Cup, an eight-team international event featuring the men’s and women’s sixes lacrosse teams from Canada, the Haudenosaunee Nationals, Puerto Rico and the United States, takes place from Sept. 26-28. The training camp runs from Sept. 23-25 in advance of the event.
