SPARKS, Md. — The coaching staffs for the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Box National Teams will hold instructional clinics for boys and girls players aged 12-17 at three locations over the next few months.

The U.S. box teams are led by head coaches Regy Thorpe and Ginny Capicchioni and both have recently named their respective coaching staffs. Thorpe and Capicchioni are both alumni players of the U.S. national team program and highly-respected coaches and teachers.

The instructional clinics will be held on the following dates:

Defending champion Boston College Club has received the number one seed in the Division I bracket of the 2023 USA Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) National Championships, while Utah Valley University earned the No. 1 seed in the Division II field.

The WCLA National Championships showcase the nation’s premier non-varsity collegiate women’s teams and will be played May 9-12 at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex and Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Va.

USA Lacrosse has announced a partnership with First Scout Productions in which First Scout will be the Official Recruitment Film Services of the USA Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament and the National Team Development Program. The latest agreement is an extension of a previous partnership between the two organizations and runs through 2025.

As parents, we always want what’s best for our kids, and that certainly includes all aspects of their involvement in youth sports. In fact, just starting our kids in youth sports can be a daunting experience for some parents.

We ask ourselves if we have our kids in the right program, and perhaps, if they are even playing the right sport(s).  Do they have good coaches who are teaching them the proper fundamental skills, and good sportsmanship? Are they safe, and are they having fun?

SPARKS, Md. — The journey to wearing red, white and blue begins now.

USA Lacrosse has announced the regional tryout dates and locations for the 2023 National Team Development Program (NTDP). The NTDP is a three-step process for high school boys’ and girls’ lacrosse players that will ultimately end with 88 players being named to one of four USA Select teams that will play against international competition during the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic in October.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has announced it has extended its partnership with NCSA College Recruiting (NCSA) as the Official Responsible Recruiting Provider for USA Lacrosse. The three-year extension of the agreement originally signed in 2018 runs into 2026.
