SPARKS, Md. — The USA Lacrosse Spring Premiere, scheduled for Jan. 4-6 in Auburndale, Fla., has been canceled due to concerns related to COVID-19.
The event was to be a key training opportunity for the U.S. women’s national team before this summer’s world championship, highlighted by an exhibition game on Jan. 5 against England.
SPARKS, Md. — Head coach Jenny Levy has announced the 27 players that will travel to Auburndale, Fla., for the 2022 USA Lacrosse Spring Premiere. The event will be highlighted by a public exhibition between the women’s national teams from England and the United States on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Lake Myrtle Sports Park.
This will be the final evaluation for Levy and her staff before making roster selections for the World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship, which USA Lacrosse will host from June 29 – July 9, 2022 at Towson (Md.) University.

SPARKS, Md. — The U.S. men’s U21 team is set to hold its second training camp of the year in preparation for next summer’s World Lacrosse U21 World Championship in Limerick, Ireland. The championship was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed twice due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Head coach Nick Myers will invite 30 players to a training camp at Ohio State this weekend where the U.S. team will hold practices, compete in a controlled practice with Ohio State and play a regulation international game against North Carolina.
SPARKS, Md. — This time last year, Kyla Sears and Marge Donovan were separated by more than 2,000 miles. Sears was based in Utah and working remotely for a strategic communications firm. Donovan was in her home state of Maryland, learning about lacrosse sticks in a whole new light as a mechanical engineering intern with a focus on prototype testing at STX in Baltimore — not far from her hometown of Catonsville.
