SPARKS, Md. – The USA Lacrosse National Team Development Program (NTDP) is set to expand in 2025 with a U15 age bracket included in the program.

Launched in 2019, the NTDP has been a big success in opening up the pipeline for the U.S. National Team Program. Each year, approximately 1,500 high school-aged players participate in the various stages of the program, culminating with USA Youth National teams competing against international competition.

Sparks, Md -- USA Lacrosse announced today that it has awarded 184 new national grants to support groups and organizations in initiating and promoting local lacrosse opportunities. The awards include equipment grants, physical education grants, education grants and financial grants.

SPARKS, Md. – Atlas Restaurant Group will be the presenting sponsor for the 2025 National Lacrosse Hall of Fame Post-Ceremony Reception and the USA Lacrosse Alumni Reception. Both events will take place in Baltimore on Jan. 11, 2025 with the alumni reception event at the Waterfront Hotel in Fells Point and the Hall of Fame reception at The Choptank in Fells Point.

The Waterfront Hotel and The Choptank are among the Atlas Restaurant Group’s more than 50 properties spread across five states.

USA Lacrosse and head coach Seth Tierney have named the staff for the U.S. Men’s Field National Team that will represent the United States in the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in Japan. Bobby Benson, Charley Toomey and Kevin Warne will serve as assistant coaches while Patrick Watson will serve as the team operations administrator and Mike Kettell will serve as the equipment manager.

SPARKS, Md. — Registration is now open for a new USA Lacrosse Regional Academy in Connecticut, January 18-19, 2025, offering professional development opportunities for coaches at all levels of the game.

The USA Lacrosse Academy in Connecticut will be held at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield and is open to both USA Lacrosse members and non-members.

(Nov 20, 2024) -- USA Lacrosse has announced the line-up for its 2024-25 Officials Speakers Series, designed to offer excellent information and insights for men’s and women’s game officials in advance of the 2025 season.

This year’s series features 12 live online presentations for the women’s game and 9 presentations for the men’s game. All topics - ranging from rules and rule interpretations, to managing the game and mechanics - are intended to support the continued growth and development of game officials at all levels of play.

USA Lacrosse, a Recognized Sports Organization by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and the U.S. representative to the sport’s international federation (World Lacrosse), is leading the effort to establish a Lacrosse Equipment Council (LEC). The LEC will provide a more formalized structure for stakeholders to discuss equipment needs and establish a framework for objective review of all equipment.

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) made this statement in support of the LEC.

Carol Cantele thought everything was lined up just right for her program’s first national championship.

It was the spring of 2010, and Gettysburg was hosting the NCAA Division III final four on campus. Cantele’s veteran squad was battle tested and peaking. Six games against top 10 teams had prepared the Bullets for the tough games of the postseason, and Gettysburg had easily dispatched its first two NCAA Tournament opponents, winning by 13 and 14 goals.

The USA Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) national championship event is returning for the second straight year to the 'Heart of the Country' in Wichita, Kansas, with all games to once again be played at the Stryker Sports Complex. Dates for the 2025 championship tournament are May 7-10.
