DALLAS — As soon as the horn sounded by the bench-side speakers at Field 2 of the Harold Patterson Sports Complex — and Team White gathered to celebrate a well-earned victory in Saturday’s Blue-White scrimmage — the focus shifted from a hard-fought back-and-forth game toward a meet-and-greet the likes of which the U.S. women’s national team had never seen.

What you won’t find in the YouTube video are the tap shoes she wore as a freshman at McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland, back in 2009.

SPARKS, Md. — Jenny Levy’s a fan of what she calls the “modern-day goalie.”
Her ideal netminder has handles. Stick stills. The athleticism to keep the other team guessing. Not to mention a brazen confidence to take chances out of the crease and down the field.
SPARKS, Md. — The jubilant crowd started early. Their cheers grew to chants and excited screams — and even the occasional shriek when a player acknowledged them — throughout the night. That’s just the vibe the U.S. women’s national team is giving off these days.

SPARKS, Md. — USA Lacrosse has named the rosters for the U.S. men’s and women’s teams that will compete against Canada and the Iroquois Nationals during the World Lacrosse Super Sixes event on Oct. 23-24 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.
Sixes is a fast-paced version of the sport played on a smaller field (70 x 36 meters), with fewer players (6 v 6), a condensed game length (four 8-minute quarters) and a 30-second shot clock. This will be the first international competition for the U.S. teams using this new format.
