SPARKS, Md. — It’s less than a year until the World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship and U.S. head coach Jenny Levy will use the upcoming Fall Classic to get another look at the players that will ultimately represent the U.S. in the world championship. The U.S. has won the last three world championships leading up to the 2022 event, which will be hosted by USA Lacrosse at Towson University.

SPARKS, Md. — Tickets are now on sale for the Fall Classic, a unique showcase of the top lacrosse teams from the international and college ranks taking place at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md. from Oct. 15-17.

The event features six teams, including the reigning gold (United States) and silver (Canada) medalists at the most recent World Lacrosse men’s and women’s championships along with the 2021 NCAA Division I champions — Boston College (women) and Virginia (men).

This series brings together prominent athletes and leaders from the world of female sports to share their experiences and insights for girls and women in sports on and off the field. Key themes include the empowerment of women in and through sport; diversity, equity, and inclusion; mentorship; and mental health.

SPARKS, Md. — A blockbuster lineup of lacrosse talent is on tap for the 2021 USA Lacrosse Fall Classic the weekend of Oct. 15-17 at USA Lacrosse headquarters. The lineup includes the reigning gold and silver medalists from the most recent men’s and women’s World Lacrosse championships, the reigning NCAA Division I champions in men’s and women’s lacrosse and some of the world’s best high school-aged players participating in the Brogden Cup.

World Lacrosse has reached another milestone in its quest to bring lacrosse back to the Olympic Games.

The International Olympic Committee voted in its 138th session Tuesday to grant full recognition status to World Lacrosse — a historic moment for the international federation of a sport last featured on the Olympic platform 73 years ago.

Let’s try this again.

After a year’s postponement due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we are once again officially one-year out from the beginning of the World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship.

Originally scheduled for the summer of 2021, the 10th edition of this event promises to be a special one that will be worth the wait. A record 30 nations will compete at Towson University from June 29 to July 9, 2022 and USA Lacrosse is proud to host the championship for the first time since 2005.

SPARKS, Md. — Head coach Jenny Levy and her staff have invited 36 players to a training camp for the U.S women’s national team to be held June 29 through July 1 at USA Lacrosse headquarters. The training camp comes on the heels of a tryout featuring more than 60 players that concluded on June 11.

The U.S. women’s team tryouts were highlighted by a one-hour livestream on Thursday night that served as critical fundraising effort for the national team program. A $50,000 matching gift from a USA Lacrosse Foundation board member was met and foundation board members combined to donate an additional $200,000 to support the program.
