LANGLEY, British Columbia — History will have to wait four more years.

For the second time in five days, the U.S. men’s indoor team came tantalizingly close to knocking off the vaunted Iroquois Nationals, only to fall short. A 5-1 run bridging the third and fourth quarters propelled the Iroquois to a 9-7 victory over the U.S. in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship semifinals Thursday at Langley Events Centre in Langley, British Columbia.

LANGLEY, British Columbia — The United States scored three goals in the opening minute and a half of the game and comfortably cruised to a 17-3 victory over the Czech Republic in the quarterfinal round of the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship on Wednesday night.

The U.S. will meet the Iroquois Nationals in the semifinal round on Thursday night (8 p.m. Eastern) on Lax Sports Network. Four-time champion Canada will play England in the other semifinal.

LANGLEY, British Columbia — The United States put up its best offensive showing of the tournament in a 22-3 victory over England at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship on Monday evening.

The Iroquois, the silver medalist at each of the previous four indoor world championships, improved to 2-0 at the event while the U.S., the four-time bronze medalists, fell to 1-2.

Joe Resetarits and Adam Osika scored goals in the opening minute of the game, helping the U.S. jump out to an early 4-1 lead.

LANGLEY, British Columbia — Four-time world champion Canada used a stifling defense to beat the United States 16-6 in the opening round of pool play at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship.

Canada, the only champion in the history of the quadrennial event that was first played in 2003, poured in seven goals in the first quarter to seize control of the game early.

SPARKS, Md. — The USA Select teams wrapped up the Brogden Cup championship with four wins over Team Ontario on Sunday at US Lacrosse headquarters as part of the Fall Classic.

The eight weekend games were the culmination of the inaugural year of the US Lacrosse National Team Development Program. More than 1,300 players from around the country participated in 21 regional trials, coordinated in conjunction with the Premier Lacrosse League and the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League.

SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse has renewed a partnership with PEARL to remain the “Official Ball” of US Lacrosse and the U.S. National Teams. This 2021 agreement designates PEARL as an official partner of US Lacrosse and the U.S. National Teams. This is the second renewal of the partnership originally signed in 2016.

SPARKS, Md. — The National Team Development Program (NTDP), an extended pathway for elite high school players to lay the foundation for eventual participation on the U.S. national teams, is back in 2021. US Lacrosse has announced the process and dates for the 2021 program.
